I took the other reviewer's advice and went at a non-peak time and I got great service and great food! Yum, I've heard rave reviews about this small restaurant all around Bells Corners. Oh, and the food I had that day was really tasty, too!

We love this little restaurant! We usually do the pick up order as they do nto deliver and its always quick, hot and delicious! Inside is vey romantic, low lighting and quiet if you go on an off peak time. Great place for a date!

My Daughter and myself have supper there every...

My Daughter and myself have supper there every Friday night. They make the best eggrolls in Canada and the US. The food is made fresh and we have never been disappointed with the quality or the quantity of the food and the service is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends and they keep going back.

I have lived beside 'Welcome Back' for more than...

I have lived beside 'Welcome Back' for more than 2 years and my family and I order whenever we get take-out. They have a dish called 'Bird's Nest' which is just amazing. It's basically a fried patatoe bowl containing fresh veggies and sea food (or chicken if your choose). The scallops are delicious and there are these tiny sperical mushrooms which pop when you bite them. Yumm! Usually when we order the cry goes out, "Bird's Nests! Yay!"

Welcome back was OK, I had hoped (from the reviews on this site) that it would be a "find". I am somewhat new to the Ottawa area, and hoped this site was unlocking the best kept secrets of the locals. In this case, I'm afraid, the secrets should be kept. The eggrolls were good, but bland and unexciting. The dishes were adequately prepared but never rose above cookie cutter Chinese restaurant status. Why do these chock-a-block Chinese places all seem to have the same menu? And why was over a third of our vegetable content celery? Why did all the sauces taste bland and cornstarchy? (Lumpy cornstarch at that...) The service was friendly but slow. Our table was dirty, the decor was dusty and boring. I don't know, it was OK, but just not a 10. My guess? the other reviewers have never had GREAT Chinese food.
