Absolutely the worst service and oyster shucking ever

I decided to come here with my husband because of the 1 dollar oysters and it was along the subway line/close walk from our house. We were quickly seated, but there was only 2-3 servers for the entire restaurant; ringing the bell does not bring a server over and they are totally oblivious that their performance and service is subpar. You can see all the customers looking around for their servers. The oysters that we received were absolutely butchered by the oyster knife and actually had pieces of shell left in them; even I can shuck a better oyster; they should be ashamed of themselves for serving me a raw oyster that looks like it has been through a meat grinder, but with shells added. Slow food service. Otherwise, the sushi rolls were good. I had a laugh when the table next ot us had a large wok of soup at a rolling boil and them not being able to do anything with it because they weren't given bowls to eat with. Dinner for my husband and I came to about $98; worst $98 I spent for the worst service possible. I will never come here again.

super fresh fish direct from asia

A great sushi restaurant in Canada?! Wow I didn't think it could happen. We've been to Ichiban a few times now and brought friends. This place really is a hidden gem beside hockey sushi. Their rolls are nothing short of spectacular. The tiger roll and crispy roll are two of my favourites. The presentation of the rolls is always great, and how do you beat sauce that's deep fried? They also serve some korean dishes, and we had their bul-go-gi. I found it to be really good! The place seems to be run by Korean people, so maybe that's why. Service was exceptional. You can choose to sit at tables or in private rooms. The waitresses don't speak perfect English, but they're very friendly, polite, and helpful. If you live in gta (or even if you don't), you have to give this place a try!

the waitress that served me and my sister was quite rude. she kinda threw the dishes away ont he table ,not well managed , the food was ok not quite the reasonable price for taste.

The lady (owner) is very rude. my friend and I...

The lady (owner) is very rude. my friend and I waited for an hour and we wondered what was going on. Yes, it was busy but we wondered how someone who came in way later than we have got their seats taken first. So we went and asked. Turns out she made a mistake. She gave us the most lame excuse ever. Apparently she mistaken us for those other people. Hello? seriously how can that be?! we were complete different race! you know what though, people make mistake but at least apologize! She never did and told us to wait some more. What the hell is that. The waitress may be friendly but that lady (owner) seriously needs to shape up! no courtesy at all!

I've been to quite a few sushi places in my day...

I've been to quite a few sushi places in my day but none have blended together the fine atmosphere, excellent service and terrific food as this place has. When friends or family come over I always take them here because I know they'll have a great meal... and it won't cost me an arm and a leg! My highest rating of a restaurant so far.
