This restaurant used to be corporately run and the quality and customer service wasn't the best. Over the last couple of years it has become a franchise and the food and service is great. At this Swiss Chalet it's like the commercials says, "taste it once, love it forever."

We have visited this establishment over a few...

We have visited this establishment over a few years. It has poor management, and we did not realize there was another swiss chalet in oakville that is hands down superior and the one we will now be going to. The first time we visited this one on upper middle, we were seated quite far from the entrance despite it being empty, the table next to us had dirty dishes with food on it and it remained there the full time we were there right until after we left. The waitress also forgot about us. We had to go over and remind the hostess that we had been waiting there quite a long time and the waitress had not returned. On another occassion we were seated, and the hostess or whomever never assigned a waiter. After 20 minutes of waiting we talked to the hostess and was assigned a waiter. The last time we visited, the person in our party with the garlic and other allergies was told rudely that they have no sour cream without chives in it before the waitress even checked. She then went and checked and had plain sour cream brought out and said quite rudely that they actually had some. The service has always been slow here, and the meal portions are small. When we found the other location close to the go station the service was the complete opposite of this location, which we will no longer visit.
