Sam is the chef/owner and Veera waits tables. Our reason for going is that they have Curry on Thursday night. It's a family restaurant with a typical Canadian menu, popular with locals. The food is fresh and cooked to order. They are pretty well the only curry restaurant in Orillia, the other one we suspect of having pre-cooked meats and separate sauces that are combined at the last minute. Grovers we prefer. The owners are charming. It is them who put on Curry at their stand at the Mariposa festival.

I had the club sandwich with onion rings instead...

I had the club sandwich with onion rings instead of fries. It was clear that the chef had used local, fresh tomatoes and the food was excellent. Good value for the money. It's a diner, so don't expect anything else, but, if it's diner food you want, this is the best you'll get in Orillia.
