Why is there always, even in the middle of winter, a line-up here? Can it be since everything is made fresh to order? Or is it the ’60s and ’70s rock and roll, English invasion decor? It may even be a combination of both factors.

This Richmond-Road cafe is an insanely popular spot for breakfast. Although business breakfasts decidedly aren’t my theme, here at Baker Street you can forget about deadlines because of their all-day breakfast menu. So don’t be shy: indulge yourself or your colleague’s cravings for bacon, and don’t even think of missing out on the truly outstanding cinnamon rolls. But hang on, want something that’s more reminiscent of lunch? Try a selection from the cold and hot sandwich menu like the mouth-watering Monte Cristo. Fair warning: portions are large – and this applies to the size of the cinnamon rolls too!

Brunch aficionados don’t mind waiting in line on weekends for the outstanding breakfast that the Baker Street Café has to offer. The rock ‘n’ roll brunch at this 1960s London-inspired café includes hearty options like homemade sausage patties with sautéed mushrooms and decadent delights like cinnamon raisin, poppy seed or classic French toast. The café’s not-so-secret star attraction that distinguishes it from any other brunch spot in town is a homemade toasted cinnamon bun served with scrambled eggs and fresh fruit.
