Fabricland

I purchased a craft for a gift for my niece for Christmas. Unfortunately, it was not to her liking and I attempted to return it to Fabricland, packages unopened and receipt present. It was then that I was tersely informed of their return policy-7 days or in terms of a Christmas gift, 7 days from Christmas no exceptions. Never mind that 3 of the 7 days after Christmas the store was closed for stat holidays, and 2 of the days had city winter storm advisories. Rude staff. Do not shop here!

Except for the cashier, who was helpful and friendly, the staff were hostile and rude. Among the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Will not shop here again.

This is the only store in Ottawa that does not have SHOPPONG CARTS. I am handicapped and find it very difficult to shop and carry bolts of material. I used to take a cart from Staples and they would take it away. This store is not handicap friendly.

People never go out of their way to leave a good review. I've never had a problem with staff here. There's a huge selection of fabric that they almost have no room to display it all.

Rude, bitter, incompetent staff

The selection is decent, the prices are reasonable, but it is virtually impossible to find a staff member who is either helpful or pleasant. The customer experience overall is terrible.

I have visited the store 3 times in the last few weeks. If I had written a review after the first 2 it would have been 5 stars. The assistant was amazing and answered all of my questions. I can only visualize in inches and yards and she did the converting for me. Today when I was in I waited for the assistant to finish rolling up scraps of fabric before she asked what I wanted. She was EXTREMELY rude,condescending and unwilling to help or convert yds to m. I will not shop here again.

The store has an amazing assortment of wonderful fabrics and everything you need to sew. I asked for help with a problem when I went in and the saleslady didn't have a single thing to suggest. She sent me to the back when the item was in her department all along and would not leave her cash to help me find a proper needle and thread even though there was no one waiting. Very unhelpful experience. Left feeling like the staff don't care at all.
