Just called to ask if I could order takeout (with no specific timeframe) the answer I received was "No man, we're way to busy for that". He proceeded to hang up on me before I could even reply with a later time or perhaps make a reservation to sit down and eat. I'm honestly sitting here dumbfounded thinking to myself did that just happen... Terrible customer service and I will no longer frequent this place.

    Recommend NOT GOING

BYWARD MARKET LOCATION: Our server was over-the-top pretentious from the very start. He was pushing menu items that we had clearly said we were not interested in. He was condescending when questions related to the menu were asked. We were all quite skeptical when he chose not to write down our orders - we were a party of 6, each ordering a different item from an extensive menu with different side dishes. As expected, mistakes were made. I ordered veggie enchiladas with sides of beans and veggies, but was served chicken enchiladas with rice and veggies. My friends had all but finished their meals by the time mine arrived. And in the end, the food was bland (ask for hot sauce and they'll give you Tabasco. Ha!), none of us particularly enjoyed our meals, the service was sub-par, and the atmosphere bleak. I definitely recommending passing on this place.

What a filthy bactera bath! History of failed health inspections!

I can't believe that the city of Ottawa does not shut this dump down! Floors and walls, especially the filthy washrooms are a complete disgrace! Look at the inspection history. Which you can't post the link on this site, trust me. It's the worst in Ottawa. Go to google type city of ottawa restaurant inspections

    What happened???

This place used to be fun. Something went wrong 2-3 years ago. The last time I went (Aug 2010) the server was surly. The tacos I ordered were ok, but my whole place seemed to be bathing in oil/butter. I asked for a virgin margarita and was told this is just not something they do. The Mexican flag lacked any zing. I sat outside and there were wasps circling me the whole time.

Perfect restaurant patios for al fresco fare in Ottawa

Perfect restaurant patios for al fresco fare in Ottawa

Clyde Ross and Ann McGarry have been local restauranteurs for decades, and Feleena’s continues their long history on Ottawa’s Mexican scene. The colourful patio, in shades of lime green and bright blue, is a busy spot in the trendy Glebe neighbourhood, especially on game nights at nearby Lansdowne Park. If the kitchen isn’t frazzled, the long-time servers can provide good advice and powerful (if sweet) margaritas. Try the tequila shrimp chile relleno or fish tacos. Lunch is quieter; portions are smaller, and so are the prices. Check out the funky chairs and light fixtures inside, and the art, too.
