They charge more than menu price

I go there about once a month with my sister and her husband when they visit Ottawa. Although we all like the food and the portions, our tab is always higher than the price listed on the menu. When I questioned it, I was told that the prices went up two weeks ago and the menu has not been changed. In May 2012 they came out with a new menu and we still had to pay 50 cents to one dollar more for each meal. On July 28, 2012 we had one of the worst servers and she told us that the price had just gone up again. She told us we could not get a better meal in Ottawa or Toronto for that price. Why don't they correct their menu prices instead of assuming that the customer will pay more for the food they ordered?

Excellent place for breakfast and lunch. The best cup of coffee and bacon for breakfast. For lunch, they take extra care in making it a nice lunch. friendly. Thumbs up!

I've eaten at Sonny's before and never really had...

I've eaten at Sonny's before and never really had any major problems. My boyfriend stopped there on the way home from work on Monday night to get something for supper and I must say, it was the WORST food I've ever had!!! I had a Steak Fajita Wrap with Fries-fries tasted like they had been there ALL DAY and the wrap was edible but that was about it. My boyfriend had a Steak with Fries-same thing with the fries and the steak wasn't exactly the greatest either. My son had Fish and Chips-the bottom of the fish was BURNT and some of it was scraped off and of course, the same thing with his fries. The wait time for all this was minimum 45 minutes and he was the only customer in the place!!! I highly do not recommend this restaurant to anyone at all!!

Every other Sunday go for the breakfast. It's always great. The service is great or lousy depending on who you get. Amber is amazing. Saturday nights they do karaoke in the bar & the bar munchies are typically great. The karaoke is mediocre at best. It was far better when A-4-Table Karaoke was hosting there, they kept the wrong host. The beer is reasonably priced, the pop not bad too. Obviously overall the place is great. It's your typical "Cheers" type establishment.
