Terrible meal, 3 out of 4 meals incorrect. Special occasion and my wife and I and she essentially ate by herself her meal was SO late compared to the others, and it was borderline TASTELESS. I resent paying $125.00 for 3 hamburgers and a crepe, and they were unable to serve them together. They never apologized or adjusted bill. Never Again!!!!

Big & Bold & Beautiful

"We're so lucky to have three young enthusiastic chefs in the kitchen who love to cook." our server explained after my joyful exclamation on sampling the melt-in-your-mouth calamari appetizer in front of me: delicately battered and mixed into a huge portion (I took half home for lunch) of stirring flavours with a yummy chipotle mayo ion the side. Entrees were similarly spectacular: my friend's "Infamous" house burger got a rave review with its large, juicy, tasty patty piled high with both regular and exotic toppings. My special, a "Mediterranean" schnitzel sat astride a silky mound of subtly garliced mashed potatoes, accompanied with succulent baked baby beets and smothered with black olives, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, green onions and a layer of pesto surrounded by a balsamic vinegar reduction swirl. What a panoply of rich, bold flavours. Presentation throughout was dynamic with a spear of a garlic stave flag-poling each dish. For the quality and amount of food, prices are more than reasonable; the smiling knowledgeable service on a par with the great food. And if, before leaving, you poke your head through the serving hatch with a smiling thanks to the bustling kitchen crew, you'll be rewarded with appreciative smiles in return. Enthusiastically recommended.

Great night out!

This is our 2nd time visiting Norma Jean's, and we loved it again! Our server brought us water right away while we decided what we wanted. We ordered two glasses of Coke. Started with a bowl of Italian Mussels,- delicious! flavourful, with loads of veggies, celery, tomato, with the broth. Muscles were generous portion and were only $9 special. Ordered garlic cheese bread, which came out together with the mussels. Decent portion size for an appetizer, but $8 for cheese bread.. My boyfriend had the Pork Diablo- which was a breaded pork schneitzel, with cheese, and sauce covered, also has olives ontop (wasn't expecting that- bf doesn't like olives, but they were easily removed). Mashed potatoes, and vegetables of the day. I had the fish of the day- pan seared Pickrel, and blackened Tilapia. I chose the roasted red potatoes, and fresh vegetables & a lemon. The potatoes were great- crunchy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and the fish tasted great. $21. We chose no dessert as we were stuffed, and off to the movies! Our server was great and refilled our drinks before they were even completely done. One drawback is that it is a small space, but we weren't disturbed at all, dark atmosphere and very freidnaly staff, great music.

Bad Customer Service, expensive, and cramped

I just went to Norma Jean's for lunch. The menu was very hard to get through, it did not list what foods were used in the dish, and it was not vegetarian friendly. First off we had to wait over 30 minutes before the waitress took our order, and we waited patiently with a 2 year old (It wasn't busy at all, and the waitress took phone calls before serving us). When she took our order she had to explain every meal because the menu had no descriptions, than when i asked about the garlic bread she said it came two ways, one regular and one with mushrooms. When the food came out she gave me garlic bread with mushrooms. I did not complain and I tried one bite and it was not to my taste, and I didn't eat any more. When we went to pay she did NOT take the garlic bread off the bill, despite asking me why I didn't eat it, and I gave my explanation. She never apologized for the confusion either!! I will never eat there again the bill was over $50 dollars for a lunch that wasn't even half eaten, for 2 adults and a toddler. Horrible service. I have been a waitress and this kind of service is unacceptable.

Great little place!

Being vegetarian really limits what I can order here-- but I was very pleased with what I got. The grilled vegetable sandwich was delightful and they do a scrumptious bruschetta with olives and feta that was easily the best bruschetta I've ever eaten. The staff is so nice and the service itself is worth coming back for. You will not be disappointed!

It was fantastic! The burgers were delicious and juicy, though the chicken was a little bland. The atmosphere was amazing, jazzy music and dimmed lights. It's cozy and the workers were friendly. With as many people as we were there was a bit of a wait for the meal; but I had a great time, and would definitly come back again.
