Good and Bad

This place is great when the owners are working but when the kids are in charge it was pretty bad. The first couple of times we went there, the owners were there and were very friendly and more importantly, they made the food perfect! The last time we went there in the evening, the kids were in charge and looked like they did not know what they were doing. We had to wait a while and the Burgers were burnt pretty bad. Would I go back? That all depends who's working.

love em

whats not to love about the place ok one thing no bathroom but the food certainly speaks for itself and the meat is fresh. the service exceptional. Unlike it's competition in ajax ( the butchers grill) they treat their customers like family, They have been in business for years and this is the reason why great food great service and integrity from the owners and staff makes this place a landmark. Butchers Grill needs to take lessons from you guy's how to make food properly and more importantly how to treat your customers with respect.... Love the burgers keep on grillin.

Average at best.

Upon entering, we saw about 10-15 customers just standing around and we had to wait about 10 minutes to order. The gathering of people were all waiting for their food to arrive. Not sure why the delay but our wait for food wasn't quite as long after ordering. The burgers were average in taste and flavour. Nothing made them 'stand out' from the norm. Buns were standard...bready and generic and condiment selections were standard. The fries were a bit soggy and maybe a bit undercooked for my liking because I like them more on the crispy side The onion rings were...different. I'm still not sure if I liked them or not. They were thick and a bit greasy, but they had a 'sour dough' taste or a 'vinegar' flavour that wasn't horrible...but it was unique.

Banquet Burger is my fave

Pretty good neighbourhood burger joint. Always busy. Very fast, friendly and efficient service. I always order the banquet burger and poutine. I tried the chicken souvlaki on a bun once and was disappointed. Sometimes I feel the beef patty is a little too large for one serving, I guess I should order the junior burger! My only complaint would be the lack of variety of toppings, the standard ones are boring. Maybe they should try some "Gourmet" type toppings, like avocado or brie. And they should try some organic burgers......trying to eat less red meat, so when we do the quality is important. Good place if you need to eat something quick, fast and cheap.
