Food is always fresh. Service is good. Surroundings are pleasant. Sushi is great! Always my first choice when I want Japanese food. When I take a a sushi tray to a party I always get compliments.

The food was amazing. The waitress was very polite however English is not the greatest but you can still understand her. I have been to many Japanese restaurants in Toronto and it's nice to see one own and run by real Japanese people and not Koreans or Chinese.

It is difficult to find an authentic Japanese restaurant, with truly trained Japanese chefs. At Kobo's you get the real deal, everything is fresh and delicious. Everyone should try and come to Kobo, as they say "it is worth the drive...."

Fresh and tasty!

We've been going here for years, since they sold fish out of the freezer in the front. I gotta say the quality of food hasn't changed one bit. The fish is always fresh and flavorful, the staff are always friendly and accomodating, and the prices are just right. Easily the best sushi outside Toronto, maybe on par with the expensive places on Front St.

Most tasty and fresh sushi in Pickering! No comparison to those all-you-can-eat joints that are here in the area. A little pricier than these other places, but if you want really good quality, selection, properly prepared and served professionally, than you have to try Kobo. The only place to experience great sushi in Pickering. The Kobo roll, sashimi and seafood salads are sooooo good!

Fantastic sushi and teriyaki bento box!!!! i had the kobo roll-amazing!I had take out so only saw the room, didnt spend any time there. love this place! i stayed in the comfort inn right across the street and next time i am in town i definetly will eat here again! For 6 piece roll and teriyaki chicken bento box it was under 17 bucks! very tasty!

Amazing, best sushi I've ever had in the GTA. Service was great, and despite some of the remarks about the language barrier, I found it easier to communicate than in most sushi places I go in to. I especially liked the Green Roll (Unagi and Avacado); all the ingredients were extra fresh, and the sake was a delicious compliment to the meal. GO THERE!

Excellent Japanese cuisine with uncompromising quality focus on taste and freshness. The owner, Mr. Yamada, is very attentive to his customers. If you are adventurous ask for something special and let Mr. Yamada and the kitchen staff impress you with a combination of flavours!

This is by far the best Japanese Restaurant in the east end. Go, try the others...you'll always come back. The sushi is always very fresh, the Chef is a master. The staff are very kind and the cooks are very skilled. If you're dining alone, sit at the bar and watch the magic behind the counter.

Absolutely the best Japanese restaurant in the entire GTA. Chef Nobu creates wonderful, affordable japanese food, including the best sushi, the lightest and most delicious tempuras. My favourite is veggie tempura rolls and the fuji apple pie.

We went there for my birthday dinner. I found the restaurant via this website so I decided to try it out. Both my husband and I were very impressed with our meals. He said his Steak Sarriyaki was "fantastic" The reason I gave the service a 9/10 is there can be a language barrier at times but the staff is very friendly. I've been back several times and my g/f had the sashimi - she said it was very good.
