Spicy chicken is very delicious, and they can make it very spicy if you so wish. The french fries, especially when spiced are some of my all-time favorite. The spice blend in table shakers is probably the best I've ever tasted, adding even better flavour to the food.
If they had fountain drinks or drink refills I would be there every week, sadly they do not. Spicy food, pricey beverages - it is easy to see how that works out.
There are no waitresses, and tables are not cleaned as often as they should be. They need to tackle this hygiene problem before it becomes necessary to ask them to clean you a table.
The best thing i like about this place is the presentation of food, it's not too fancy but very appetizing. The food is not greasy at all. Very flavorful and healthy. will return for sure.
I used to get take out years ago from Richmond-Hill years ago and the food was fine and price was reasonable. I tried it once about a month ago and the food was OK but way over priced. We eat very healthy and got three large different salads with a chicken breast, the price was almost $50. and We left not quite full. We again tried them yesterday and got 1 small salad with chicken breast and 1 lg salad with chicken breast and 3 pops, $45 for 2 salads and the large had no better amount than the small. I can't see this place staying in business very long with these ridiculous prices and very small portions!!
Firstly I cannot believe there are hardly any Nandos in the US we have like 400 restaurants in the UK. Secondly how can anyone write such bad reviews about Nandos. I have been to various different restaurants in the UK and have experienced the same quality food, service and atmosphere in each one. The food is amazing and I have been every week for the last 4 years and sumtimes 2-3 tims in a week. I would recommend this place to anyone. Seriously everyone should go.
Peri fries were great. The kebob's were pretty good but the sauce had more heat than flavour, it still tasted fantastic. Double kebob meal for under $10 before taxes fills a university student perfectly.

went for a quick bite with my girl friend, loved the food, it was our first time after a long time after being told friends that there was no longer a corporate store...apparently franchisee for a few years everything was a perfect 10...love the new colors and look from what it used to be...will be back for some more peri peri tommorrow!!! Best thing is they cook the food right in front of you so its always fresh!!

Had an amazing experience, went with my wife and kid at approximately 8:30 pm, I had the hot half chicken, my wife had the chicken salad medium spiced, and for the little guy a single kebob and fries lemon and herb. Everything was amazing from the food, to the music to the staff, and service...the place was buzzing, crazy busy and not a hiccup at all...I am totally astonished and in shock that people could write such bad things about this place. Was told they are opening a location in Markham this summer and I can't wait!!!! Nandos Richmond Hill is the best in the city!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw next time I am there I am going to ask for a cd ;-)
hey, please dont be surprise, but when i first got the salad, i couldnt even look at it, just because some kid t was made it in the kitchen(thats how they work), and also, the fries were really cold..the service, what service, the kid just drop the sald bowl and left, and i was like what are you doing, so by respect i ate the chicken, which i didnt like and i left and i will never go back again.. i dont comand it to anyone, because of hygienic purpose, i dont think its clean, i even saw people smoking in the kitchen , then just touch the food, ... no comment

I have been a customer here for many years, and after coming across this site I am amazed at some of the unjust comments. When this used to be a corporate store this store was terrible, poor food quality and bad service. After a Franchisee took over a few years back the quality, and service is AMAZING!!! Of course there are longer waits on weekends thats because the place is VERY Busy, so expected. Again, AMAZING FOOD, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, AWESOME MUSIC the owner actually went and burned a copy of the cd for me after I told him I enjoyed the music for free!!! As someone said a truly hidden gem, and to those who said otherwise they just dont know what they are talking about.

For someone that would visit Nandos at least twice a month in the UK, since coming to Canada my interest in this restaurant has near enough diminished. The restaurant at Richmond Hill was once run by the Corporate Nandos group until it was sold to a franchisee and since then the quality of the restaurant has deteriorated significantly. On each occasion I have attended the place has been an absolute mess with food on the floor, dirty washroom etc and even the food itself has been cold or late. Service is far worse than one could imagine and although the staff do make an effort to correct any issues, still this is not what one would expect.
If you are taking the food home you'll be fine but if you are going to eat there be prepared to wait for the food and if once you get it you are not happy then be prepared to complain otherwise you may end up getting a meal that would merely fill your appetite. If like me you are ready to complain and send food back then you'll be fine.
Incidentally if any reader is the UK I'd thoroughly recommend you visit a store there and try the med salad and I guarantee you wont be disappointed!!
In the UK this chain is spectacular - best take-away chicken I think I've had. Here, it was nothing like the UK experience. The servers were distant and grumpy and the food was just food - not even very good chicken.
