We were at Crabby Joe's in Sarnia last night. Worse service I've had.
We had a large group at the service was terrible. The server never the whole time ever removed a dirty dish or glass from are table. The server gave us dessert beside all the dirty dishes. Never removed dirty glasses when she brought new drinks. It was awful. The dishes were stacked up. We will never return. I'm thinking the servers need more training in customer service.
Service not good had lunch and ended up with practicaly raw chicken wings management didn't do much about this issue. Makes me wonder if the owners care about their customers. Im never going back and I'm telling everyone I not to go there.
Use to visit this frequently when i was new to Sarnia, even to the extent of calling it my fav place. But i guess it has downgraded since then. On my last visit ordered some honey garlic wings along with sandwiches. The wings were served after we finished our meal :( The salad wasnt fresh and the bread for sandwiches wasnt fresh
I was in here with a couple of other guys earlier this week for lunch. We had a short wait at the entrance and then were shown to a table by a waitress who could have been a little more skilful in greeting and seating. She seemed a little warmer with other people who arrived later, so maybe we just looked nasty?
Our waiter was okay. He didn’t know the soup of the day but he did a good job otherwise and he was patient with one of our party who was being just a teeny bit difficult.
Two of us had soup and sandwich combinations. The tomato and pasta soup was very good, drawing praise from even the difficult person. Our sandwiches were okay-to-good. I had the pulled pork wrap which was tasty. Mr. Difficult was concerned that his steak sandwich be rare and he was satisfied with the result. The third member of our party ate his hamburger without comment. I assume he was happy with it.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was a little dark – not much access to outside light, but the place was very spacious both in the dining room and the bar area.
I’m not sure what the prices were – it wasn’t my turn to pay. As I recall from reading the menu, my own lunch was about $12 excluding tip and taxes.
So overall, I would say lunch here was a good enough experience. I wouldn’t want to rush back myself but if somebody I lunch with wanted to try it, I’d go along again. I’d even pay too!
Stopped in Sarnia on the way home to Essex County - had dinner with some family - There was 6 of us eating, but 2 only had the desserts.
The desserts were very good.
Food wise, two of us were satisfied, the other two not so much.
I ordered the T-bone steak. I like it blue rare. It was rare, and was absolutely full of grizzle. Not a good cut of meat. The accompanying asparrigas was over cooked - it should be a bright green and firm - this was a dark green and soft.
My wife had the veggie wrap and hated it - did not even finish - had a bitter tast
The last time I brought my family to Crabby Joe's the pasta was WAY over cooked, soggy, like it had been sitting in the pot of water for ever. Definitely don't recommend the pasta!
After every high school concert we put on, my friends and I always go to Crabby's for dinner to celebrate and it just became a thing.
The past time we went the service was HORRIBLE! Our server was extremely rude and not very patient, it's clear he does not like high school students but he didn't look much older than maybe 20.
The food was okay it came out quickly. Large portions except for the cheese sticks you only get 4, not much of a meal.
The server didn't receive a large tip I think it was 5 dollars at the most.
Never got tp order nobody came to see what we wanted to drink or eat we used to go at least once a week on either Tuesday or Thursday and never had a problem we waited for half an hour for the waitress to come over they kept looking but noboby came probably wont be back
The place was busy and we got seated right away...the young man could be a bit more friendlier but he was pleasant. The place was packed but we got our orderin right away and the food was quite good and the drinks were cold and went down nice. We have been to many crabbys and never had an issue. This one was extremely busy and serecive was quick. thunmbs up..we will be back....soon

we love Jamie the waitress in sarnia we used to go to crabby joes almost every night but they have changed the menu which is a down side but we love the people and we love the food and we will not go to any other resturant in sarnia that we would feel as comfortable in. Fairily good food, but the service was a little slow. But not bad for a big place like Crabby Joes. And When it is your birthday the dessert is really tasty. But it would be nicer if the birthday person could choose between a couple desserts! Free gift certificates every once in a while would be nice!...
We look forward to going to Crabby's every Thursday after our Volleyball games as it is nice and quiet and the food is great. We like our usual waiter named"Joe", he is an excellent server and provides a humourous and pleasant experience every week.

I've visited Crabby Joe's in Sarnia a number of times now, mainly because in the evenings they have half-price appetizers.
Every time I've visited, it was an entirely akward ordeal. I'd walk in the foor with my party and wait to be seated at the "wait to be seated" sign. After 5 minutes of standing around and looking for someone, they would reluctantly come and guide us to a table.
My biggest complaint is one of the waitresses that seems to always be serving at night time. She is rude every time no matter who she is serving and is not helpful to anyone.. lets out long sighs whenever asked for something and once when my party asked her to split up a bill, she sighed and insisted we were stupid (her words) if we could not do the math ourselves. Not the kind of experience I'd like while dining.
our waitress seemed to think she was so busy. The place was far from full. We asked to get our salad while we waited for the other items to arrive. She said she could not possibly get our salad with all the food back there. It would be impossible to find our salad. That is definelty a first for us. We go out alot and never have we not been able to get some of our order ahead of the rest. Not impressed. The nachos were overpriced seeings as all we got was a big plate of nachos with very little toppings of any sort. I think a bag of nachos would be about $3.00. That was all our order was worth. Not happy with our outing.
