This was the worst meal I have ever purchased in my life the food was so greasy you could pour it off the food and the noodles were glue like. we threw it in the compost because we thought it could kill our dogs if they got into the garbage. But in all seriousness don’t eat here waste of money go anywhere else!!!! Anywhere.
I had ordered once before from Lucky Gardens in St Thomas a couple years ago.
Ordered from the menu, and picked up. To my surprise Lucky Gardens had moved.
Got home and unpacked all the delicious food. NOT !!!!!!!!!!! For the amount that was paid for the food. You would expect some nice chinese food. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED in the food.
Shrimp/chcken balls seemed like they were sitting in oil, that is the taste that was left in your mouth. Do NOT Recommend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After ordering my supper at 6:27pm I was told it could take as long as an hour due to them being very busy. I didn't see any food till 8:26 one minute shy of the 2 hour mark. The food was great but leaves me to wonder how much better it could have been, because when I called to check on it. I was told it was sitting and waiting for delivery that was 7:30 a full hour before it arrived at my place.
Our family has frequented Lucky Gardens for over 32 years. Although I have never been disappointed in their food, I must say the service is not so great (and slowly declining over the years). That being said, the service is comparable to other small Chinese restaurants that I've frequented in much larger cities.
The one piece of advice I can give for future take-out patrons is to place your order in advance as the wait times are lengthy (but the chicken balls are definitely worth the wait).
