We enjoy it at Corner House for special occasions. Very reasonably priced. $45 for Lobster, appetizer and dessert of your choice. Tasty meal, and service was friendly.

We've been to the Corner House on a few occasions...

We've been to the Corner House on a few occasions and have mixed feelings about it. Food is good, staff varies from arrogant to very friendly. There is something missing here. Professionalism probably. Hours seem to be set by how many people are in the place. Too few and they will close before posted hours or worse yet, turn you away at the door even if you are there an hour before closing time. Too bad. Could be excellent with a different attitude.

The four of us went for Mother's Day and aside...

The four of us went for Mother's Day and aside from the fact that they couldn't find our reservation, a few crumbs on the table and a missing knife and spoon (am I being too picky? nothing is too good for mom :) we had a very enjoyable experience. The food was very tasty & reasonably priced @ $49/person for starter, appetizer, entree & dessert, although it would have been nice to know before going there that there was a prix fixe menu (the website didn't say it would be). The service was friendly and prompt. The soups were mild in flavour and the lobster was prepared with care. The warm chocolate tart, although not warm, was absolutely delicious. The creme brulee and creme caramel were equally fresh & yummy. I would recommend this nice family restaurant to anybody who wants good food in a classy environment.

It was disappointing. The house Chilean red wine...

It was disappointing. The house Chilean red wine was dry but had no body to it. Quite light. The chicken breast with a light sauce was fair enough but a little too close to maybe not cooked well enough. The bread was oven heated which is nice but very late in coming and a bit dry because of the oven heating. The homemade blueberry pie was obviously overcooked and frankly I have had better at home. The service was very disappointing; quite frankly I was ignored. A definite air of arrogance by the staff. If you want the ego boost of having eaten there, go ahead, it you want fine service and good food there are other places nearby.

This is a really great little restaurant. The meal was excellent - the quiche was outstanding and the waiter was very personable and friendly - service was great. The desert we had was excellent. Great food without being snobby...prices are very reasonable. I will definately return!

Our steaks were overcooked and the vegetables were not al dente.The sauce tasted as if it had come out of a can.The caesar salads were not crispy at all.The dressing had not much hint of anchovies.the server was arrogant and uneducated.awful,awful.
