Half my order was just sauce. If I wanted to eat Bol Choy stem and giant pieces of onion and celery for mixed greens is just grab something from my fridge. Yes it was hot and fresh but the whole order felt like filler. Too saucy, too much stem/stump passing for veg, and the rice had hard bits that I would not classify as chicken. Not good.
It's not Chinese at all. The food isn't even pallet able. Made very haphazard no balance of taste.A lay man would cook it better. The menu isn't clear abt the ingredients in it. Servers have no knowledge of anything.
I don't understand how this place has such great reviews. Both times I have ordered now the food has been dripping with salty sauce and the veggies in the greens dishes are just thick cuts of cabbage and onion. A smidgen of chicken in the chicken balls, greasy fatty meat, I tried them again but am so disappointed. For those prices I expected so much more!
Mr. Chinese has great friendly service but they're also quick at providing good food. This is particularly amazing considering how busy they are. You always feel welcome. You leave with food that tastes good and satisfies any cravings for Chinese Food. Just wonderful...
$27 for a dinner for two! It says it's open until midnight but they decided to only serve take-out around 10:30. They wouldn't even seat us. I live at the other side of town. What a waste of time.

There are many chinese restaurants out there to choose from but this is my restaurant of choice. At the helm is the mother and father of this establishment who make everything fresh to order. Nothing is frozen and reheated. Everything is made from scratch ie. shanghai noodles, soup broth, eggs rolls and the list goes on. Their homemade hot sauce is to die for. That said they do take pride in treating patrons with the utmost respect and consideration. Nung can be seen on a daily basis juggling the take out orders and dine in orders with ease. You can tell that the other wait staff are amazing also. Not only are they beautiful but very attentive. It is extremely busy there but well worth the wait.This family run restaurant truly love what the do and cares about their patrons
All the previous comments are correct for this place. The service is exceptional and the food extremely fresh and you get lots of it. A must stop for anyone travelling through Thunder Bay. The only negative comment I have is they do not have hot and sour soup, oh well get the M1.

This is my favorite Chinese place in town, the food is good and the staff are amazing. The owner is the sweetest little man if you ever get to meet him, and his children are so personable and lovely, even if you happen to order something on the menu that you dislike, you'll probably come back to try something else just because they (and the rest of the wait staff) are all so fabulous. It may not be very traditional Chinese food, but for Canadian Chinese I definitely cannot think of a place I would rather go in TBay. While the chicken balls and bon bons are very standard fare, the fried rice really stands out for me among others in the city, very tasty. They have known my name since I moved here for school and have really made me feel like family. I cannot say enough for their character as a family owned business, go there yourself and let them make you feel at home!
I'd go again just to watch the virtuoso performance of the girl at the front. She knew most of the folks getting takeout by first name! You know the locals love it and frequent it..... that's the true mark of the best Chinese in any city.
Great service ! out waitress was unbelievable!.... very friendly and makes you feel right at home.

est Chinese food in Ontario so far, has to be Mr Chinese in Thunder Bay.... stop in and see Ning work her magic as she moves about this place magically making everyone feel like they have been missing something special if they haven't been there before, or if they are a regular who has been away for a while. Knowing most by name, or making guest feel as though she knows them personally her grace under the busy-ness that is 5:45 pm in a Chinese Restaraunt is truly inspiring.

Good Restaurant, had take out only, but would definately visit again to dine in. From the Toronto area, and had my fair share of chinese restaurants... but this one top's them all. Would highly recommend.
THE FOOD IS GROSS AND EWW THE ICED TEA HAD A REALLY GROSS TASTE SO WE ASKED FOR WATER AND THAT THASTED EVEN GROSER! EWWW I WILL NEVER COME BACK THERE AGAIN CUZ OF , GROSS FOOD, GROSS DRINKS, AND VERY VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!
