Biseagal

Malcolm Monro’s passion for bicycle racing inspired him to start fixing bikes from his kitchen. Whenever he had the time, he'd do tune-ups for cyclists, but it soon came to the point where he required a separate space to tend to the growing number of bikes in need of repair. And so, Biseagal was born. The shop is named with Malcolm’s Scottish family roots in mind as “Biseagal” is Scottish Gaelic for Bicycle.

“My wife and I started the business,” says Malcolm. “It came to the point where it was necessary to expand. It was a lot of work and it took some time to build a customer base. Now we have a lot of regular customers who come to us routinely.”

Biseagal’s main concentrations include repairing and building bikes, from fixing cracked frames all the way to building wheels. If there is something about your bike you think can’t be fixed, chances are the skilled team at Biseagal will be able to do it. Summertime is usually a peak season for Biseagal, but that doesn’t mean Malcolm isn't working during the winter; he often spends the cold winter months building custom bikes and frames.
