    Made Me Sick

I've felt sick since I ate there last night. Had the mushroom raviloi and chicken. Tasted like that Oliverri stuff you buy in the bag at the grocery store. Server seemed surprised that we ordering food. Would be a great place to drink some beer and watch some live music but I would avoid anything but maybe nachos or something.

If you know why Lisa Simpson has remained a vegetarian, remember which bands that played at Homerpalooza or can instantly name the side character who sleeps in a drawer, look no further. Fans of The Simpsons battle it out at this Parkdale bar, which, on the second Tuesday of the month, dedicates its trivia night to everyone’s favourite animated family. All levels of Simpsons’ knowledge are welcome with minimal judgment.

The best bashes to flaunt your Movember moustache in Toronto

On November 26, bring your leather jacket as well as your luscious lip luggage to this rockabilly hotspot for its third annual Mo Trivia Night. The event promises to be bigger and better than ever before with more teams, great prizes and even dustier moustaches. Intimate knowledge of celebrity moustache culture (ahem, our new Prime Minister) might make for a leg-up at this year’s competition and the chance to take home the prestigious Mo Cup.

Best hidden back patios in Toronto

Best hidden back patios in Toronto

Sure, this Parkdale icon might not be a secret, but the sprawling patio out back earns a spot on this list thanks to its sheer size — which comes as a total surprise given the bar’s relatively small exterior. It’s easy to spend the entire afternoon on the outdoor space at this retro dive bar where you’ll find plenty of of seating (both covered and uncovered), classic pub grub and a pay-as-you-play pool table. The patio might be the highlight but take some time to peek around the inside and check out the kitschy rockabilly décor.
