My wife and I travel from Mississauga to Flip Toss & Thai on Harbord Street about once a month and have done for almost two years. We read a review in NOW and it was spot on. The family who own it are so welcoming and friendly. The food is made fresh in the semi-open kitchen. It is ready in 10 minutes and is always superb no matter what we order. We usually buy extra to take home and the prices are great. We have tried other Thai restaurants in Mississauga but the food usually pales in comparison so we continue to make the trek to Toronto. Most of their business is take-out but there is a very small, very casual but clean seating area with about a dozen chairs and we always enjoy our stay. The only downside is that there aren't any washrooms because it is considered to be a take-out establishment due to number of seats. Don't let this put you off. If you want authentic Thai food and don't mind spending less than $25 for a great meal for two you really should give it a try. You might become addicted like we are.
This wallet-friendly spot proves that the exotic world of Thai food is no less so when it’s prepared for the vegetarian palate. Choose from imaginative salads and mains plus nine veggie dishes. They have fun names such as Emerald Curry, which is full of nutritious greens, and Evil Jungle Prince, packed with tasty eggplant, baby corn, bamboo shoots, carrots, onions and peas. Brown rice is optional and everything is available for eat-in, take out or delivery.View this Smart List
