A shadow of its former self. Mediocre food, sincere but inadequate service, and no desserts at 10:55 because the restaurant closes at 11:00?!

Best Restaurants for Meatless Mondays in Toronto

Go ahead and choose from sumptuous veggie options such as Ricotta Gnocchi Fritti, hold the njuda (pictured above), Cauliflower Frittella (Italian pancake) and Black and White Quinoa Salad, with shaved fennel, fried carrot, and almond milk dressing off the regular menu. But or a longtime now, Pizzeria Libretto has been celebrating #MeatlessMonday at all of its locations. Here are just a few of their features from past weeks: - Verdura pizza with mozzarella, black olives, rapini and goat cheese - A mountain of bufala ricotta with cracked black pepper on a classic marinara base

Toronto restaurants for a great wedding reception

Toronto restaurants for a great wedding reception

Someone who had a very small wedding (think: fewer than 30 people in attendance) nearby chose to have her reception on the lower level of this fantastic pizzeria a few years back, and it seems like a great place to finish off a great day. Who needs wilted side salads and runny gravy over dried out roast beef, when you can have amazing pizza and your favourite beer or glass of wine?

Pizzaeria Libretto’s VPN certified thin-crust pies are the stuff of legends among Toronto pizza lovers. The dough is topped with traditional ingredients — San Marzano tomatoes from Naples, Fiore di Latte Mozzarella — and cooked in a 900-degree wood-burning oven (also imported from Italy of course) for an authentic Neapolitan finish. At the Danforth location you’ll find a semi-private dining room hidden in the downstairs cellar area. The cozy spot is ideal for small groups up to 12 people.
