Went in for brunc...

Went in for brunch and luckily I was in no major rush. It took them an hour and 15 minutes to serve me my food and even then, the home fries were undercooked and over-seasoned with rosemary and thyme. The frittata was cold. Not a real kitchen and not up to food safety standards. Really disappointed and have no idea how they can still be in business.

What she gets: an iced latte to go. A Bloorcourt fixture for many years, this hybrid café and cocktail bar is the ideal spot to grab a fair-trade coffee before your morning Christie Pits walk or stop-in for a salty Caesar after an afternoon park hang. Plus, a lengthy selection of sandwiches and salads (think cranberry chicken club and old white cheddar BLT) will help you transition to the evening or fill your belly before an afternoon in the sun.

This cozy Bloorcourt café attracts students, families and first dates with its charming retro interior and tasty food and drinks. Sip on organic fair-trade coffee in the A.M. and local craft beers in the evening. If you’re feeling peckish, the daytime menu features homemade sandwiches and salads while in the evening you’ll find cheese and charcuterie boards.
