Meet the owner
Chad Comfort had always enjoyed cooking as a hobby, especially baking bread. After working as a lawyer for several years, Chad realized that it wasn’t his ideal profession. Instead, in 2009, he channeled his passion for baking and making food into setting up a relaxing, quaint sandwich shop in Koreatown called the Sky Blue Sky Sandwich Company.
“I wanted to create a warm, inviting place where somebody could get healthy food relatively fast for a nice, relaxing part of their day,” Chad explains. The formula worked and after the success of the original Koreatown location, Chad opened up a second Sky Blue Sky on King Street East. He chose Sky Blue Sky’s name for its happy sound but also because the moniker is the name of an album from the indie band Wilco. “It just kind of snowballed and it was like ‘okay, let’s use then their song titles for sandwich titles!”

Im Always In Love
What do you love more Swiss cheese & ham or Swiss cheese & turkey? Why not love both and try our version of the Monte Cristo where we take ham and turkey and place Swiss cheese in the middle. We top the sandwich with some mayonnaise and honey mustard.

Our roasted beef brisket topped with a smoky barbecue sauce and a slice of Swiss cheese. We suggest adding some mushrooms and Sautéed onions.
Dreamer In My Dreams
Slices of roast beef topped with onions cooked in red wine vinegar, banana peppers, slices of tomato and some cheddar cheese. We put this dream on our spicy jack bread with some mustard and mayonnaise and serve it to you well toasted.

This is our version of a tuna salad niçoise. We take our tuna and mix it with capers, use some black olive tapenade and some grainy Dijon mustard and top it with a thin slice of tomato on our three cheese bread.
