    Awesome Poutine

The pulled pork poutine was amazing and I recommend it to anyone that likes pulled pork and poutine on their own - once combined they become something spectacular. I thought paying over $10 for a poutine was a ripoff, but wait until you see how much food you get - its amazing having a 2nd dinner later on at 11pm from my doggie bag. So hot and saucy, you will love every bite. Service staff was good, no complaints. The stool chair seating was inadequate, and should be replaced with booths or proper chairs. With food this good, I want to sit down and enjoy it. Other than that, it was a clean and hip place.

beware the pulled pork at smokes

I only tried the pulled pork poutine and it was gross, the one at poutinis is way better. As far as their regular poutine or other flavours, I cant comment because I dont know, hence the food rating of a 3 when I had only one dish that was a 1 (stinker)

    Poutine c'est bon

We found smoke's completely by chance. The signage is tiny, the store is slightly above eye-level, so it doesn't jump out at you. The server was a bit ticked off when we arrived because her counterpart had gone on a break, she let us know as much. Regardless, she managed to take the orders of the small Saturday early afternoon hung-over lineup with ease. They have quite a few choices, including bacon, corned beef etc etc. I guess we're purists and went with the standard curds and gravy. They also have a decent selection of pop. After sitting down for about 5-10 mins, we were called up to the counter to grab our meals. Served in a box, the gravy was hot, loaded with fresh cheese curds. Fries were a bit mushy, which works for me, skin on. All in all, very good poutine. Regular sized serving was huge.
