7 spots to have a dance party in Toronto

EDM lovers will thoroughly enjoy this small hideaway that keeps 20-somethings coming back again and again. The sound system is awesome and there’s plenty of room on the dance floor. The staff there is always good at getting people through the lineup quickly, so you can focus on having a good time instead of wasting half of your night outside. The Hoxton offers a small, intimate setting that contrasts the city’s sprawling nightclubs.

Sure there’s no booze and it starts at the ungodly hour of 6:30 am, but it doesn’t mean it can’t make for mo’ lotta Movember merry-making. It was certainly news to us that Toronto’s trendiest nightclub transforms into a makeshift yoga studio every Wednesday morning. The Breakfast Club hosts its last event of the season on November 25, with DJs, juice, snacks, dancing, and yes, plenty of yoga. $5 from each ticket sold will go toward the Movember Foundation.

You may be thinking “the Hox-who?” especially if you’re not a fan of Kenny versus Spenny. But when one half of the show’s foul-mouthed stars (Kenny Hotz) isn’t engaging in gross dares and challenges, he’s busy managing this Bathurst Street nightclub. When you first walk in, you’ll notice a distinct lack of décor but the minimalistic aesthetic makes it easy to set up for a variety of tastes and interests.
