Last night I went to Newfoundland’s own fish and chips it was my first time and it will be my last very very disappointed in their fish and chips I am from Newfoundland and eat a lot of fish for anyone call this Newfoundland own is embarrassing to us Newfoundlander it was the worst fish and chips I ever eaten. Take my word downhomers stay away from that place waste of money

I have only one misgiving about this fine establishment.....They DON'T serve chip butties! The chips are gorgeous... fish and batter perfect.... it smells like Skegness and tastes like it too (Anyone English will know what I mean)
These are the best fish and chips this side of Lincolnshire... they make me homesick.

Everything about this place is fantastic!
I used to work in the same plaza and on my 20 minute lunch break I had time to order, pick up and eat my food. A few times the wonderful woman that works there brought my order to me.
I order fish and chips at almost every restaurant I go to and other than a little place I went to in New Brunswick, they have the best fish and chips hands down.
Awesome staff, always clean, always quick and delicious, and a great price.
I had to write this review in response to a review i read on this restaurant. I've been going to this Restaurant, for moore than 15 years on a weekly basis. By far this is the BEST fish and chips anywhere.portions are huge the batter is lite and deliscious, fries are out of this world, the gravy is home made mmmm-yummy. and they also make their own vinegar. The prices are very very resonable. I have never been dispointed. We always bring our out of town guests, who now request a REAL fish and chips everytime they come to visit. keep up the great work Newfoundland's. See you Friday again again......
I disagree with many of the reviews. This is by far the worse fish and chips that we have ever had in our lives. The food was drenched in grease, the batter was totally tasteless and overwhelmed the fish, which was very dry. The fries were limp and greasy. Plastc packets of plain tartar sauce was the only codiment. Never again!
Excellent service. Fish was real, not processed. Friendly staff, said it was Haddock. Fresh cut fries. Very quick considering how busy they were. I know Ive found my fish and chip place.
I thought the fish was not flaky and tender it was more rubbery and over cooked and had no taste and i had no clue what kind of fish i was eating it doesnt tell you on the sign .the gravy was chunky and not very tastefull, and the fries were ok to greasy for me i would not go back thier waste of money and the place was not very clean.
My husband and I discovered this place by mistake.[we got lost] But now we have found Welland. The BEST Fish and Chips, we have EVER had in our lives. Fish is one of our favorite meals. We been to Europe, the east coast, the west coast, absolutley nothing compares to the way this fish and chips taste. Everytime we come to the Niagara Region now. We always include Newfoundland's as our Own Fish and Chips Choice. TRY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT.

I am a Huge Fish and Chip LOVER, my favorite meal by far.I've enjoyed Fish and Chips since a young child. I have got to say this is the best I have ever had. ABSOLUTLY DELICIOUS. We are totaly hooked. It is a must to try, even if you think you don't like fish.

if you like grease this is the place. Wellands greasy spoon. I dont even know what kind of fish it was. Couldnt eat it, to much grease for me. Dirty store too

Not an eat in facility, take out only. Light batter, not thick, uncooked dough like so many others. FRESH cut fries that taste like REAL fried potatoes vs. cardboard. We take out regularly and this is the BEST fish and chips in Welland.
