Their food was horrible!!Can you believe the boss served overdue chocolate milk to customer?? I happened to know they collect white rice which customers' left. 'm not sure if the reason why their fried rice was not fresh. I also saw they made wonton without washing hands after they were touching money. It's so gross!! And the price also expensive
They stand without a chance of me going back again. This food was horrid!! I have had bad chinese food before but this tops the cake. I ordered basic food: chicken fried rice, spring rolls and lo mein. I received fettucini noodles that were cut up with frozen chicken and mushrooms, the sauce was dull and flavourless and there wasnt enough. The rice was not fresh and had no flavour either, there were little slivers of frozen chicken every four or five bites. The spring rolls werent even filled and were just awful. I had a bad feeling when I struggled to communicate with the staff but I placed my order because of misleading positive reviews. I regret it and should you order from there do so with caution.
I have been going to the Hong Chow restaurant for as long as I can remember with my parents, and then with my wife and kids. The food is top notch and has always been great. The Sweet & Sour chicken is the best. It has a nicely blended sauce, and all white meat. The Chicken Fried Rice is made to perfection also. Their homemade chicken gravy is the best I have tasted anywhere too. My wife says the Hong Chow's chicken Chop Suey is the best she's ever had, she also loves their egg rolls! The prices are right considering the food and super freindly service is A++ They are mainly known for takeout, so if you eat in you won't see many customers, so it's a nice and quiet dining experience. Highly recommended!
A total success as an introduction for my new friends to the local Chinese food scene. Not quite ready for the authentic stuff but wanting to try more of a step closer than the usual chop suey. The service was friendly, the food was hot, fast and delicious. Veggies were cooked to perfection - tender but still with a crunch. The cantonese chow mein had a bed of crisp golden pan fried noodles - not burnt or soggy from the gravy yet. :) My friends loved everything - obviously from the empty dishes going back to the kitchen. This restaurant has definitely gained new customers. I will bring more converts too. lol
It was pretty tasteless, seemed like it came out of a can. I swear I tasted campbells chicken soup stock. The egg rolls were alright, but nothing to write home about. I've tried plenty of Chinese places in Windsor, and some of them have been great. This was not one of them. They're in a remote location, there was nobody in the restaurant, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Quaint little restaurant, but WOW! We were expecting typical Chinese food, but the dishes here were some of the best we've had in Windsor! Very slight communication difficulty with one of the servers, but her and the other server were very polite and helpful. My glass of water was never empty. Will definitely be coming back.
My favourite chinesse restaraunt in all of Windsor. Wait staff are always pleasant and the food is always plentiful. I truly enjoy ordering from here.
