Chez Bong is a Korean-Chinese style restaurant located in Chinatown. The restaurant itself is small and is founded downstairs. However, don't let the outside fool you, the inside looks more comfortable than you think. The owner is Korean so the food selection is very good: jajangmyeon (black beans sauce noodles), jjampong, japchae, jjigae, etc. I tried the kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), yuk gae jang (beef stew soup) and mandu (dumplings). They're all very good and not very spicy for Canadians.

Excellent Korean Food, exceptional service

Last time I ate Korean BBQ at this restaurant, it was exceptional. The meat and sauce were great, the experience is hard to describe. Moreover, the owner was providing us a great service by placing the meat onto the grill plate! I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu.

This is one of those places you would walk right by – just another semi-basement Chinatown spot. But the inside is warm with wooden walls and a smiling staff. The bulgogi is a hit here: grilled thinly sliced sirloin that is marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, garlic, onions, ginger, and sugar.
