In a former life, Estelle Aubert was a teacher and her husband Didier was a business development and marketing strategy consultant. They lived in France and dreamed of travelling, of adventures... and of working side by side.
The lovers and connoisseurs of French products came to Montreal in October 2014. "We went to all the delis in Montreal and found that there weren't a lot of French gourmet products around. There were a few, but they got a bit lost among the products from other sources or were of a different quality," says Estelle.
Back in France, they made their decision. "Let's open a delicatessen selling French gourmet products in Montreal," they said, and so in November 2015, ÉpicerieBrimbelle opened its doors just north of the Jean-Talon Market.
