Meet the owner

After high school, Sin Tong Goon worked odd jobs before entering the family business, a clothing manufacturer. After five years, he was aching to venture out on his own and chanced upon a bubble tea shop that was for sale. “When I walked in, I said, ‘This place is mine.'" Newly married and looking to start a business with his wife, Xiao Lin, Sin fell in love with the place and in July of 2004, the two made it theirs.

Launched just six months earlier in the core of Chinatown, L2 Lounge had become one of the city's most popular destinations for bubble tea, a drink that was virtually unknown in the west just years earlier, but has become the latest craze. "I didn't know anything about bubble tea, but it grew on me," says Sin. He learned everything about it, including how to make L2's 100 different bubble tea recipes.

Sin and Sue had a vision for L2. They gave it a major overhaul, added a large bar and service counter, benches for seating, and replaced the carpet with modern floors. "I wanted to make it the best bubble tea spot in Montreal," Sin explains.

Used to be #1 student lounge

This place used to be the best place to hangout for bubble tea and games. It is still extremely popular, however it is taken over Western audiences. The bubble tea they made are still solid even if it's made with powder. The prices are decent and the environment is acceptable. If you are looking for a quick-bite or grab a bubble tea for takeout, L2 lounge still offers great varieties.

Great bubble tea, best place for gatherings

L2 serve probably the "best" bubble tea in Montreal. Try out their original bubble tea, you'll probably realize that it's nothing compare to other places. The lounge also offers internet access for game lovers as well!!!!

Montreal’s best spots for bubble tea

Not only is this a great spot to get fun bubble teas with fresh fruit, it is also quite the hangout spot for groups looking to play some fun games. Gather your friends for a bubble tea and some card games, touchscreen games or foosball matches.
