Meet the owner

It was in the summer of 2012 when David Deschênes and his wife Suzie Laframboise opened Le Bièrologue on rue Ontario Est Street in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district. For several years, David embraced the dream of having his own shop devoted to Quebec brewers. Around the age of 10, the young man discovered a passion for beer - or, more precisely, for what it came in. A big collector of caps and labels, David Deschênes fell early for this hoppy brew.

As an amateur collector, David was quickly seduced by the beer of Quebec microbreweries. He discovered the delicacy of local breweries partly thanks to the artisans of Unibroue, whom he considers pioneers for gourmet beers in Quebec.
