Weekend trendy crowd, young professionals looking for a healthy but unique bite to eat. Definitely worth trying. The soups are always good too.

Montreal's best brunch spots

This Old Montreal café is well known for their boxed lunches, popular with the professional crowd. They offer breakfast on weekdays (working breakfast, anyone?), but stop by on weekends, when they pull out all the stops. Crêpes, eggs, smoked salmon, croissants – they’ve got it all.

Where to go for a business breakfast in Montreal

Urban decor, a coffee bar and large, shared tables await you starting at 7 am at Cartet. The breakfast menu is quite generous, with three very complete brunch plates: healthy, country-style (des Cantons), or sweet. Eggs are served boiled or scrambled, with a variety of breads and potatoes roasted in duck fat, lemon juice and spices. French toast with blueberries, toasted banana bread with coconut or Portuguese-style grilled cheese are a few of the many other choices on the menu. Before leaving, browse through their grocery store shelves.
