Meet the owner

The irresistibly sweet fragrance of delicious baked goods beckons customers into the shop, even before you walk through its doors. Welcome to Patrice Pâtissier!

Made to perfection, unique and visually appealing, the pastries created by Patrice Demers continuously delight the residents of Petite-Bourgogne, where the pastry chef has lived since February 2014. "It's a pastry shop, quite simply, where you can pick up desserts for takeout or eat in," says Marie-Josée Beaudoin, one of the shop's three partners. "We have around 15 desserts available daily. We also offer a lunch menu from Wednesday to Saturday, and now we offer Sunday brunch."

The assortment of pastries and cakes on offer includes classics, such as the eclair and tart, St-Henri chocolate and coffee cake, the cream puff, the Kouing-amann and panna cotta. These treats are available daily, with everything made on site in a kitchen with a window that allows customers to see the "little pastry bees" (and Patrice) at work.

Beautiful cakes and wonderful flavors besides sweetness

The pastries from Patrice are consistently beautiful and the flavors change by season. Recently was citrus, now rhubarbe is in season with hibiscus. The pastries have a very subdued sweetness which I really appreciate. Service is excellent and pre-ordering cakes/tarts is straightforward for special occasions. Try their Kouign if you want an example of how beautiful and perfect their work is. One of the best pastry shops in the city.

Patrice Patissier in Little Burgundy is a true Montreal bakery and the specialty Kouign Amann cake comes highly recommended. The bakery also sells other pastries, brownies and individual cakes, and owner Patrice Demers makes them with European baking chocolate for added authenticity. On top of the baked goods it’s known for, Patrice Patissier also has a lunch menu.
