Meet the owner

Trina Banon isn’t afraid of a little hard work. That’s why her company Fruiterie Vert Pomme in Montreal’s cozy Verdun neighbourhood is a very rewarding career for her, and you could even say she was born into it.

For 20 years she worked at her grandparent’s fruit market. Eventually she and her father decided to go their own way. They opened Fruiterie Vert Pomme in April 2010 and business has been booming ever since.

“I'm lucky to have my father working with me,” says Trina. “We go to the big fruit markets every morning, six days a week. I couldn't do it all by myself.”
