One of the top daycares in Whitehorse, hands down.
Choosing a good dayhome/daycare is one of the hardest things a parent can do (it's often very hard leaving your little one in a new environment). Both my husband and I are working professionals so when the time came to choose a daycare we searched for many months (I literally asked every person I knew for recommendations). We choose Angel Falls Daycare for many reasons. The owners are fantastic people who treat the children as if they were their own. Our son started at Angel Falls when he was 10 months (he is now just shy of 3). He feels like Dedis and Manuel are his grandparents and they treat him as such. Dedis is committed to teaching, she has a Masters in Education from her home country of Venezuela and it shows in the activities and learning experiences our son has everyday. On a daily basis our little guy comes home with wonderful art projects, and has learned something new from reciting the alphabet in Spanish and English to counting in both languages (and he’s even learning to share!). The kids do yoga, focus on themes like the ocean, the planets, countries, and make baked goods etc. The owners bake homemade cakes for birthdays and they have huge seasonal celebrations where parents are invited to join in the festivities. Santa even showed up this Christmas baring presents for all the kids. Montessori is not for every family but for our son and the many children that have been with Dedis and Manuel (some for over three years), I would say Angel Falls ranks as one of the top Whitehorse daycares. We feel so very lucky that such a fantastic daycare exists in Whitehorse.
