The lamb and lobster is a delicious match with avocado and salsa. Lighter entree of seafood pot of feu soup in fish broth with melt in your mouth, fresh array of seafood is soooo good. Most satisfied with the homemade trio ice cream - especially the black cherry and cinnamon - not too sweet and not too creamy. Perfect dinner!
The restaurant is part of the group that owns Open Range & Diner Deluxe etc. and it did not disappoint in unique dishes & drinks on the menu. They actually put bits of grated truffles in their truffle lasagna (where most places infuses it with truffle oil only). Great little place - try their lillet cocktail too...not too many places in Calgary will have this :)
This place is a favourite for us for any special occasion or just for a night out. Wednesday is bring your own wine night and free corkage! The place is small but very cozy so make sure you have reservations. The seafood is very fresh. We went there with another couple and shared the seafood platter and the candied trout jerky is delicious!
My husband and I had dinner at Big Fish/Open Range last evening. This is the first time we had both eaten here and would highly recommend. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing. We would recommend starting with the mussels, Short Ribs and Arctic Char for dinner entrees. The plating and presentation of each of the dishes was exceptional and the portions sizes exceeded expectation. Very filling! We also liked that the two restaurants combined to one, offering a wider variety.

All of our meals were fabulous. The mussels, calamari , Arctic char and fish tacos were fantastic as was the pecan pie we shared for dessert. Service was great and we 1/2 price wines was a bonus. We are already planning to go back for another ladies night on a weds again to take advantage of 1/2 price wines. Highly recommend the Big Fish.

Only reason for three stars on atmosphere is that there was a large party - 5 adults and four under 3. Kids were great but adults particularly one was obnoxiously loud. I think placing us in another spot may have alleviate the “noise” a bit. However we also did not ask
