We made a reservation, and when we arrived the restaurant was completely closed with no signage as to why. We never received a call. I called the phone number on their website and the operator said the line has been disconnected. I think the restaurant has closed permanently, unfortunately with no notice to its customers.

Best eggs benedict I’ve ever had! The flavor was amazing, and so was the presentation. Service was good too. I’ll definitely be back!

Very odd. Tried to call the restaurant to amend the booking time. Recorded message said the number was not in service. Not sure if this restaurant still exists.

We have been bringing our French group here for a wrap-up dinner for a couple of years now and the service was always impeccable. Unfortunately, the manager has left, as well as the French-speaking waitress who used to serve us, and the service was not up to par. The menus were not printed as they have been in the past; no French-speaking wait staff were available; the waitress had not been made aware of the group menu options; the food was average, and generally we did not feel taken care of. I understand the difficulties of staff turnover, but we will be finding a new French restaurant for our group in the future.

Our only complaints about the service is that our server seemed in a rush--in particular asking for our order before we had been informed about the specials. Food was good although not outstanding. It's still the best place in the neighourhood for a dine-out experience.

Out of most items on the menu and on the wine list. No excuse for such a pathetic performance. We had to walk out. We will not be back

Magnificent dinner. Seafood bouillabaisse is better than any I have tasted anywhere including from Costa Brava to Marseilles. Service is excellent but you need to take ambiance with you. Great restaurant for a small family dinner or with friends.

Server was charming and efficient.. Food is always very good but would like more variation in the menu. It seems to be the same menu since La Brass opened. It would be great if the menu could change each season. Also there should be more variety in the desserts.

I came for brunch before and was impressed with the food quality. Wanted to try the dinner service because the menu offered a good variety in dishes and price points. My family loved it! Seafood dishes were fresh and the escargots paired with baguette was a highlight for me. Will definitely plan to reopen soon.

had a good meal, although they had run out of orange juice and waffles on a saturday at noon (seems like still brunch for two more hours) but they had someone run to the store for juice so that was helpful. Service was good

This was for our 38th wedding anniversary and they couldn't have made it any more memorable. The food provided numerous options, was delicious as usual and our server, Kate, had the timing down perfectly and was attentive without being overbearing....

We sat on their small outside patio on a beautiful evening and had it all to ourselves (inside it was jam packed). Our server was a wonderfully friendly lady whom we just loved and her service was impeccable. We ordered the onion tart as a starter and it was scrumptious. For our mains my wife ordered the roast chicken (a huge half chicken) that had crispy skin and yet was beautifully moist inside. I ordered the tenderloin steak in red wine sauce with pommes frites (French fries) and it was like cutting through butter!! Amazing and delicious. We washed it all down with a lovely white wine from the Road 13 Vineyard. It was a most memorable evening and we will be heading back again in the not too distant future. Hope we get the same server!!!

I have never been disappointed by either the food, the service, or the atmosphere in La Brass. Yesterday I took friends from Germany to the restaurant, and they greatly enjoyed themselves as well. Keep up the good work!

Small bright space, decent service ... quality for price was poor to average. Steak frites - frites were oily. Several other french bistros in the city offer better quality for less.

Learner waitress, pleasant but slowish. Also, she had to come back to the table to tell us on 3 separate occasions to tell us that items ordered were not available, one of the ports, the Sauterne and the Malbec. Not very impressive in an expensive restaurant. Do we return?

Four stars for atmosphere because La Brass has few tables making for a more intimate setting, however the banquette we sat on was missing several buttons. Three stars for service because getting appetizer to table took too long. Three stars for food for reasons described below. We ordered tapas in addition to our "plat" assuming that this would arrive "tout suite" (or shortly thereafter), as was our experience with tapas in Spain. However, they didn't appear until about 30 minutes after we sat down. The meatballs with a tomato and onion reduction were excellent. My wife cannot take too much spicy heat, so we asked for the chili pepper to me omitted from the green beans; however, we didn’t expect the rather boring result. Surely chef could have "tarted them up, even with a squeeze of lemon. For the main meal one of us ordered mussels (which is accurately advertised as an entrée rather than a "plat") and the other, rack of lamb. The lamb was delicious and was nicely presented over a tasty haricot and arugula combination. Unfortunately, the mussels were more ho-hum, and one of them tasted a little "off". We were disappointed in the wine list. Actually, the wine list was OK, in print, but the first one we asked for, from Burrowing Owl was unavailable. The second, from another Okanagan winery was also unavailable. We settled on an OK Cotes du Rhone. However, $14 for a 5 oz pour seemed a bit steep. La Brass might consider a 9 oz pour that would actually fill a glass more than about 1/3 full even if we would have to "swallow" a higher price. Or use smaller wine glasses. Desserts were wonderful: creme brulée and clafouti.
