Excellent service, great food and all around fantastic Saturday night date!

I had reservations there, but was downtown early so decided to see if we could get in anyway, not a problem. The service was great, the food awesome, & the atmosphere was pleasant. Would definitely go there again.

Very small selection. Soggy fish. High prices. Very good beer. Only one bathroom. Very casual service. We were there for a birthday dinner and server didn’t even say happy birthday. Also didn’t check ID and my daughter just turned 19 but still looks 16! Looks like it would be an amazing place in the summer with the patios. I think we hit the winter slump time.

Canoe hosted our Christmas staff party and it was superb! Marie-Claire was a great point of contact and explained every single detail out for you which made organizing much easier! Great location, the food was delicious (large amounts for what you get. We ordered the platter and canapes), and along with the drinks, came out in a timely manner. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend for large party functions.

Our waitress killed it, we will book again next years as it was an awesome experience all around.

The venue was stunning, the food was great, and our server was amazing. I was thrilled with it all.

We Highly recommend this venue for any kind of event , for years we have been going and have never anything but amazing service and food. Our recent event was a 40th birthday and everyone was so accommodating , very efficient and excellent food. The atmosphere as the night progressed was perfect as the live band was fabulous ! Thank you so much for the amazing evening !

As usual the staff was exceptional. This is my second time booking a large reservation and just as I expected the staff took care of our every need, every guest was happy and I felt very accommodated. Thank you to the lovely servers for doing such incredible work xo.

Service was incredibly slow even though the restaurant was fairly empty. Super tasty food and drinks and the atmosphere is so fun though!

Great service, we had to move on from the patio as it was too cold, but no problem at all. The broccoli side dish had us fighting over it!

we came in with a group of 12 for a work celebration, I had made reservations the week prior. We were very happy that we got to sit outside on the patio. The service was excelled and all but one enjoyed their food.

Service extremely slow but management apologized and compensated us by taking 50% off of food. Many restaurants just say "sorry" but Canoe Club stepped up!

Service was exceptional! A couple of us had ordered something that wasn’t quite what we thought it would be and the restaurant jumped to compensate - and compensate handsomely. Also, the hostess came up with a perfect parking solution for our friend, who is handicapped and rides a recumbent tricycle. Again, exceptional service. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back nor recommend Canoe.

Two guests including me ordered the octopus. it was improperly cooked and inedible. I also ordered broccolinni. It was saturated with salt, inedible.

Our group felt very strongly that the servers were shockingly undertrained and completely clueless about how to look after their customers. The food was good, but the menu could use some updating in the light dinner category. Not everyone feels like a burger.

We had an excellent experience at Canoe Club. The restaurant was very accommodating when we needed to add more people to our reservation - and we were placed in the upper section of the restaurant allowing for sufficient room and excellent service to our very large table. The staff was quick to take our food orders, and we were happy to see that the kids' food was brought out first. The staff was very friendly - the waitress took a moment to congratulate my husband (we were celebrating) and had very nice things to say about the kids. Food was delicious, and the drinks kept coming. I was designated driver, for the evening, and my iced tea never went empty. We will definitely return!

We just moved to Salt Spring Island from Vancouver so Victoria is new to us so we are so excited and pleased to discover such a fantastic place. The service, atmosphere, and food made our 42nd wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday celebration way beyond expectations (and our expectations are high). We will most certainly be visiting Canoe more often. Gary and Radha Bello
