Worst experience. Came in for a pint, pool and grub. Was insulted, accused of being too intoxicated or possibly on drugs or in the servers words as "clearly on something..." so wouldnt serve us alcohol. None of us had more then one beer at home before arriving. Still completely coherant. This just happened 30 minutes ago. Most disappointing night of my life when came to have a good time with my best friends. Never been so offended in my life. Feeling discriminated for how i looked.

Waiting 2 hours for a pool table when 3 tables were "reserved". Food was mediocre, service was slow. Will not return.

Okay place to hang out but poor food

I came here with a group of about 10 family friends on a cool fall night. We took two combined tables and played some pool for a while, and then we sat down to order our food. Since we were a large party the food took quite long but that was expected. What we didn't expect was the poor quality of the food. I can't remember what anyone ordered, but I do know that out of the 11 or 12 of us only 3 people enjoyed their meal. So one of the adults pulled our waiter aside and let him have it. And I mean really let him have it. He ranted about how terrible the food was, how the staff should have been better trained, and how the managers should have made sure that the food quality was above par. It definitely helped release some of the tension, but we all left very disappointed. I have not been back since then, and I don't plan on ever returning. Even before that experience the food was consistently of poor quality and little flavour. Come here to play pool. Don't come here for fine dining. We made that mistake.

This is a great place to spend a coupple hours...

This is a great place to spend a coupple hours, the food is quite good, but when you add it all up at the end it seems pricey. The tables are of great quality and service is good. The only problem is the food, and the Beer is expensive.

This was me and my family's second attempt at eating at The Crooked Cue. The first time around was for Father's Day, and this time it was for my Mother's Birthday. Both times, the restaurant claimed to not have reservations under our name. The first time we called into the restaurant to book it, the second time we did it online via YP. Thankfully, unlike for Father's Day, we were able to get a seat - right next to the entrance on a cold Winter's night. We quickly moved to another - dirty table (restaurant hadn't had a chance to clean it yet, not totally their fault that it was unbearably cold at the table they sat us at after losing our reservations). Then we placed our appetizer orders. They brought one person's appetizer 10 minutes before everyone elses, so we had a choice to either eat cold food, or have only 1 person eating while everyone else watched that person. Aside from that, appetizers were decent. However, when our appetizers were being cleared, our waitress hit my beer glass. Even with me holding it down on the table, it nearly spilled all over me. If I was not holding it down, I'd have a 20oz glass of beer all over my dress clothes. The main course was also decent, nothing special, but nothing bad either. Half way through the main course, we had asked for water. 30 minutes later, we were done eating and had yet to receive our water, despite reminding our waitress already about it. Then, when she came to take our order for dessert, we refused to give her the order until we got our water. 5 minutes later (for a total of 45 minutes) we finally got our water, which she brought a closed tall bottle of water, filled right to the brim. We, of course, had to pour it. Thankfully one of us had steady hands. Dessert was actually good. No complaints at all. Final verdict: No one from my family has any intentions of going back after our Father's Day dinner was literally ruined (good luck finding a place at 6:30 PM on Father's Day without a reservation) and my Mother's birthday dinner was lack-luster.

Service was good considering how busy it was. The pool tables are in a terrible spot from the kitchen. Stopping for people to pass by. Lava cake was hard in the middle.

Atmosphere was fantastic and the service was good. You can hardly believe how nice this place is. It's a huge space on the second floor of two buildings. It really open and airy... not only does the street facing wall open up but the ceiling does too -- like the Skydome! Lots of pool tables and ping pong too. I went with some buddies but there were lot's of families with kids running around. There was even a live duet playing some really good tunes and adding to the general feeling of the place. Food was alright but to be honest, we are not foodies and we went for a good time with great atmosphere and friendly service which is what we got and we were very happy with the evening. Already planning to go again.

We did not stay to dine because the table issued to us was unacceptable - it was at the junction of the servers' bar counter, the kitchen entrance and the telephone desk. We asked to be re-seated but were told it was impossible despite there being lots of unoccupied tables. So we were welcomed at the restaurant next door where we had a wonderful evening. On our previous visit to the Crooked Cue two weeks before, they had no record of our reservation which was made by phone. As for pool table bookings we keep getting conflicting info as to whether we can reserve tables or not. After many months of going to the Crooked Cue we still have not been able to reserve a table. It seems management and front desk staff are clearly not in sync, leaving us feeling unappreciated and not respected.

Good family dining with great options for food. Server was very friendly. Renovated part of the venue is open and filled with light from glass roof, which made it very pleasant. For some reason our bookenda reservation hadn't got through to the wait staff but they were very accommodating none the less. Hope this review reaches them!
