This establishment was supposed to host a Deaf Event this Saturday, January 13th. After being refused access to closed captioning in the TV's, and ignoring calls and emails from the coordinator of the event, the event was forced to be cancelled, after being booked for several weeks. This establishment is unresponsive to customers and discriminatory to the Deaf community.

Worst experience. Came in for a pint, pool and grub. Was insulted, accused of being too intoxicated or possibly on drugs or in the servers words as "clearly on something..." so wouldnt serve us alcohol. None of us had more then one beer at home before arriving. Still completely coherant. This just happened 30 minutes ago. Most disappointing night of my life when came to have a good time with my best friends. Never been so offended in my life. Feeling discriminated for how i looked.

Waiting 2 hours for a pool table when 3 tables were "reserved". Food was mediocre, service was slow. Will not return.

Okay place to hang out but poor food

I came here with a group of about 10 family friends on a cool fall night. We took two combined tables and played some pool for a while, and then we sat down to order our food. Since we were a large party the food took quite long but that was expected. What we didn't expect was the poor quality of the food. I can't remember what anyone ordered, but I do know that out of the 11 or 12 of us only 3 people enjoyed their meal. So one of the adults pulled our waiter aside and let him have it. And I mean really let him have it. He ranted about how terrible the food was, how the staff should have been better trained, and how the managers should have made sure that the food quality was above par. It definitely helped release some of the tension, but we all left very disappointed. I have not been back since then, and I don't plan on ever returning. Even before that experience the food was consistently of poor quality and little flavour. Come here to play pool. Don't come here for fine dining. We made that mistake.

This is a great place to spend a coupple hours...

This is a great place to spend a coupple hours, the food is quite good, but when you add it all up at the end it seems pricey. The tables are of great quality and service is good. The only problem is the food, and the Beer is expensive.

Was disappointed in the quality of the service and food (the chicken in the shish kabob was poorly cooked crusty and dry unappetizing and over priced). We had to get up to ask for silverware and napkins when our appetizer was served. Server was Very slow to return to table to check on us. Definitely won't eat here again but the room design and open roof are a very nice.

Very underwhelmed by all dishes. Dips were old and had a skin on top, fries were soggy, pizza bland, samosas pastie. Hugely disappointing because this place could be so awesome given the location and layout. At the end of the day the food should come first.

Great service, nice family friendly establishment to watch the game on many big screen TVs. Big glass roof is a nice addition, makes for a bright atmosphere.

I was almost shocked at how good the food is especially for a pool table pub atmosphere. My salmon with capers was exceptional. The tomato and mozzarella salad with balsamic reduction-delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive and our bar service as we played pool was amazing. We had such a fun night!!

Issue was the reservation was lost. Despite my calling twice and answering the reservation confirmation the day day before. We showed up and no reservation. Manager and stag reacted well got a table and saved my wife’s birthday surprise. We love the pal e but losing the reservation and initially approaching ona “prove it” approach did not strt the evening well.

Service was great! We ordered nachos to start - and they were YUMMY however we then ordered shrimp tacos and had to return them as they were cold and did not taste great at all. Our server was awesome though and realized right away that there was an issue and took the tacos off the bill which was appreciated.

Great service booking the table. The wonderful woman found a solution to our request for a table big enough for 9 but would shrink down to 6 after an hour. Server was lovely but she was busy. Game night.

It was my birthday celebration and I had about 15 of my friends with me, but the service was absolutely horrendous! We had to wait for a long time to get our drinks, while the waitress was serving other tables and paying no attention to us. I felt like, since we were a larger group, she was already getting her 18% gratuity in the bills, so she didn't care. I needed to engage the Manager, so that we would receive some kind of service and even then I needed to constantly follow up, because the food wasn't coming. The food also wasn't the greatest, I expected a lot more from a place like Crooked Cue. Well, first and definitely my last time there.

The service was great and everyone was pleasant & did a great job. But... if you're making a reservation, make sure to call it in. The front reception didn't have a record of our reservation that was made & confirmed on-line. According to the CC, that system is glitchy & doesn't always pass on the information to them. That said, they made every effort to accommodate us and fit us in. All in all, a great place & and a nice experience.

We were a foursome of middle-aged ladies. There were around 30 kids there, it was awful. Playing hide and seek, even had a ping pong ball bounce across our nachos. Parents didn't care about stress to staff or patrons. Will not be back.

The service was amazing! I had two friends who were late, so my boyfriend and I just played pool and got drinks while we waited for them and our waiter never changed and was always making sure if they were anything else we needed. Once our friends got there, the food was terrific as were the drinks and the games. We all decided to come back here soon!

This was me and my family's second attempt at eating at The Crooked Cue. The first time around was for Father's Day, and this time it was for my Mother's Birthday. Both times, the restaurant claimed to not have reservations under our name. The first time we called into the restaurant to book it, the second time we did it online via YP. Thankfully, unlike for Father's Day, we were able to get a seat - right next to the entrance on a cold Winter's night. We quickly moved to another - dirty table (restaurant hadn't had a chance to clean it yet, not totally their fault that it was unbearably cold at the table they sat us at after losing our reservations). Then we placed our appetizer orders. They brought one person's appetizer 10 minutes before everyone elses, so we had a choice to either eat cold food, or have only 1 person eating while everyone else watched that person. Aside from that, appetizers were decent. However, when our appetizers were being cleared, our waitress hit my beer glass. Even with me holding it down on the table, it nearly spilled all over me. If I was not holding it down, I'd have a 20oz glass of beer all over my dress clothes. The main course was also decent, nothing special, but nothing bad either. Half way through the main course, we had asked for water. 30 minutes later, we were done eating and had yet to receive our water, despite reminding our waitress already about it. Then, when she came to take our order for dessert, we refused to give her the order until we got our water. 5 minutes later (for a total of 45 minutes) we finally got our water, which she brought a closed tall bottle of water, filled right to the brim. We, of course, had to pour it. Thankfully one of us had steady hands. Dessert was actually good. No complaints at all. Final verdict: No one from my family has any intentions of going back after our Father's Day dinner was literally ruined (good luck finding a place at 6:30 PM on Father's Day without a reservation) and my Mother's birthday dinner was lack-luster.

Atmosphere was fantastic and the service was good. You can hardly believe how nice this place is. It's a huge space on the second floor of two buildings. It really open and airy... not only does the street facing wall open up but the ceiling does too -- like the Skydome! Lots of pool tables and ping pong too. I went with some buddies but there were lot's of families with kids running around. There was even a live duet playing some really good tunes and adding to the general feeling of the place. Food was alright but to be honest, we are not foodies and we went for a good time with great atmosphere and friendly service which is what we got and we were very happy with the evening. Already planning to go again.
