Raw vegetebles with burn

Was the place I took my date, now my wife to. Went for an annivesary revisit. Had Pork medallion with roasted vegetables. My wife had pasta. Pasta was good. Medallions were fatty and not tender. Vegetables were raw and burnt on the outside. An absolute joke for real chef , used very loosely, or line cook. Was cordial and tipped well as usual. My statement will be that I will never return. I am embarrased for them. Nice view in a nice area. Would not ruin the moment in front of my wife.

Disappointed

I went to Amore with my girlfriend recently and we were both very disappointed. We got the mussels as an appetizer and they were bland and unappealing. The pasta dish I had was also very poor in both presentation and flavour. The salad my girlfriend ordered was alright, but nothing special. The waiter was inattentive and a bit rude. We were both very unhappy and don't plan on going back.

My husband and friends come to Amore once in a while, We love it there. The variety of dishes is wonderful. When you first walk in you are greeted with the friendliest staff. The place is always clean. whenever we have a celebration it is always at Amore. Last month we had a birthday party for 40 people there were so many great dishes to choose from and all my guests were very happy with the service, staff and especially the food. I would strongly recommend Amore. Way to go Amore

Generous portions for normal eaters.

Fast, friendly service. Large menu. Very busy, hence very noisy with people talking at a volume more suited to a bar.(always 'those' people at restaurant, it seems) Unless you're a total glutton, the portions are more than generous. Three out of the four of us couldn't finish our main dish due to the quantity of food. (I finished - but barely, and really did eat far too much) Recommended for casual dining, with decent food. (The wine tumblers excepted; Wine should always be served in a wine glass. Period,)

My regular weekend brunch place

i've been regularly brunching at amore for 5 weeks now and i love it. their brunch lasts until 3pm! and that's perfect because u want to sleep in on weekends and yet know u know u have the option of having time to eat breakfast! i invite anyone i can to brunch at amore, because the eggs benedict, frittata, waffles & crepes are all delicious! the portions are perfect because i don't like stuffing myself with extra carbs! the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We make sure we get the same waiter every time because he's super pleasant! the service is good. i look forward to my saturday brunches at amore!!! i definitely recommend this to everyone! i recruit brunchers to join! when you go ask to be seated at Rick's tables!! enjoy!

I would have given this place a better reivew if the portions hadn't been so small! They were tiny! Calimari appetizer was tiny, they filled the plate with leafy greens. Carbonara tasted okay (maybe a bit bland), but the portion size was a joke. Fuscilli was a bit bigger, tasted okay. Pizza was quite good, and large. Service was SLOW, but we had 10 people, so that might have been the cause. Price isn't too bad (we averaged $17 including tax and tip). MIGHT go back, but probably not.

Portions were small, way too small for brunch. This restaurant does not offer good value, since the prices are high, the food's quality is average and the portions are little. Service was poor. The overall experience was disappointing. If you walk another block north, you'll find much better value and better atmosphere in the other bistros that offer brunch in the area.

I went to Amore for the first time for dinner with three of my girlfriends. The food tasted very good however, they had other problems that I did not know about at the time. As the bill was placed on our table, I saw a mouse run across their counter and grill. I privately went to speak with our server. I let her know that I was not looking for any type of discount, but wanted to let her know what I had just seen. Her response was "We know". She continued to tell me how its very common and not a big deal. My friends and I were disgusted, and will never return to Amore again!

Amore Trattoria is easy to miss as you walk north...

Amore Trattoria is easy to miss as you walk north on Yonge Street if you are not paying attention. The entrance is well lit and from the moment you enter you can feel the energy. The wait staff bustle about, delivering food to tables, the kitchen staff are clearly visible as they prepare meals, and you are hit by a veritable wall of sound if the restaurant is full. We sat upstairs, which is a little quieter, and the waiter was attentive through, expressing great humour, and had a detailed knowledge of the very extensive menu. The antioasti arrived and the selection was delicious - there is a wide variety of items, so you can customize your own plate. My wife's pasta dish chicken breast was plump and delightful, I had a thin crust pizza that was made to perfection. We both decided on the tartufo - possibly the best I have ever tasted - as the cap to a winderful meal. As for visiting again, wee plan on doing so every four to five weeks, as we sample the wide variety of delectable tastes.

The appetizer was fabulous. Cheese was grilled just right and the tomato mix was so fresh. The salad was a little heavy on the dressing, but very good anyway. The Butterscotch Nut Pie was so very good. We were asked if we wanted it warm or cold, best choice was the warm, comes with fresh whipped cream...it was tremendous! Would so return,in a heartbeat! Think we would like to go in the evening too! And, I have to say the service was really great. THe bilingual server we had was terrific and so attentive to our needs and likes. Just great!
