Dined here yesterday for dinner - the atmosphere was very trendy, gave off a cottage/winter vibe. The menu is simply outstanding, lots of delicious choices to choose from. We opted for wild boar spring rolls, bread + duck confit for our appetizers. Absolutely delicious. For the mains we tried the Game Burger with fries, Roasted Duck and Eggplant puree, and the Wild Mushroom rissotto. The burger was the best pick, not as gamy as we thought it might be, the duck egg aioli was the perfect touch.

I wrote a review in October 17 (Kerri) after having a near miss allergy experience. I would like to append this review. I just got off the phone with a representative from Antler who called me to discuss the incident & make sure I was ok. He interrogated the staff to figure out what went wrong - they already had an allergy protocol in place and he figured out what went wrong and has modified the policy to ensure the safety of their allergic patrons. I am considering giving Antler another chance!

Food was amazing. Service was very speedy and the servers were nice. Only complaint would be that our table was right next to the door, and it got a bit chilly at times with people coming and going. But otherwise amazing experience. Thanks.

This was my first Antler experience. The service alone was enough to bring me back. At no time was the service rushed. Staff was knowledgeable and warm. Then the food. I cant remember the last meal I had where each bite I had was bliss. Perfectly prepared meal. I will be back! Thank you for the experience.

This was an incredibly special meal. I was under the mistaken impression before dining at Antler that the menu was in some way meat-centric. Not at all. It’s just a gorgeous, beautifully thought-out set of offerings. Portions were generous, presentation was both inviting and beautiful, all staff were attentive to an appropriate degree (which I mean as the highest form of compliment for servers, hosts, bartenders, etc. There is only the finest of lines between too much and too little. To be appropriately attentive is to be attentive in a perfect way in this context). Every dish we had was equally noteworthy and a privilege to eat. I will highlight the blini with smoked BC cod as a remarkable achievement - a crisp and fluffy blini with smoked fish sliced to the perfect thickness, lots of creamy things and mouses and caviar just to make sure the message made it all the way home. And also the duck breast which held to the classic sweet element in the form of a berry gastrique but went to a place I’ve never been before with a duck breast insofar as it was surrounded by and embedded in an immaculate eggplant purée and some whole beans of perfect texture. It was blessed relief to find such enexpected things going so beautifully along with a perfectly cooked and seasoned duck breast (which can be a very drab thing even when properly prepared). We also had the daily bread with the added duck liver mouse (smoothest I’ve had), the venison tartare (sea buckthorn that actually complements the dish!? Never saw that coming) the rabbit pappardelle (what the eff. Let me die in a bowl of that), the brioche and ginger ice cream sandwich (only a very stupid person would say that this was not an immaculate dessert) and the pistachio semifreddo with the poached pears and walnuts (light, texturally brilliant because of the walnuts, addictive). Eat at Antler. They use a kitchen and a variety of staff to prepare food that they then sell and serve to paying customers seated in their dining area. It is a very good restaurant.

Delicious! We had the venison tartare, game burger and rib eye. Only feedback would be to serve the tartare with something thinner than bread so we can fully taste the meat.

The service was friendly and prompt, all service staff seemed to be tailor made for the restaurant. The food was out of this world! The Bison Rib Eye and the Ice Cream sandwich are vote winners. The appetizer tray was consumed heartily by the the whole table. A thoroughly enjoyable night out. Definitely worth treating yourself to when you have something to celebrate!

Jamaican venison patty: It may look like a snack food, but it's as important as any expert entree. Slipped into a white paper sleeve with the Antler logo stamped on the front (nice touch), it’s the best version of any meat patty I can recall. The house made dough is so fine it's almost translucent, making it easy to see the mound of ground meat within with as much flavour as a well-simmered stew. And the delicately spicy dipping sauce with scotch bonnet is not blow-your-head-off hot thanks to being blended mostly with red peppers. Make no mistake: this is not the meat patty you're used to seeing under a heat lamp at the corner convenience store.
