Dined here yesterday for dinner - the atmosphere was very trendy, gave off a cottage/winter vibe. The menu is simply outstanding, lots of delicious choices to choose from. We opted for wild boar spring rolls, bread + duck confit for our appetizers. Absolutely delicious. For the mains we tried the Game Burger with fries, Roasted Duck and Eggplant puree, and the Wild Mushroom rissotto. The burger was the best pick, not as gamy as we thought it might be, the duck egg aioli was the perfect touch.

I wrote a review in October 17 (Kerri) after having a near miss allergy experience. I would like to append this review. I just got off the phone with a representative from Antler who called me to discuss the incident & make sure I was ok. He interrogated the staff to figure out what went wrong - they already had an allergy protocol in place and he figured out what went wrong and has modified the policy to ensure the safety of their allergic patrons. I am considering giving Antler another chance!

One of my favorite restaurants in the world. I took a group of colleagues who all fell in love with it too. Exciting and diverse menu (both of drinks and food). Uniquely Canadian and I recommend it to anyone traveling to Toronto

I wish I had gotten our server’s name! She was great. Friendly but not intrusive. Thorough but not pushy. Warm but not over the top. Plus our water glasses were never empty. Well done. The food - as always - was fantastic.

Outstanding restaurant - far more than just a place for meat. Everything we tried was very well crafted, and the people there provided excellent service with genuine warmth. Great place to celebrate our son's birthday, but we will find another lesser excuse to come back!

Was very excited to try out Antler after hearing great things and was thrilled. The service was amazing and all of the many wait staff helping us were the most lovely & kind waiters I have ever experienced. Food was great, unique and tasty and we generally left with a smile on our face from such a great dining experience. Thanks again!

We had a great time at Antler. This was our first time in Toronto and we went for my birthday. Picked it because the food was different and something we cannot get at home. They did not disappoint. I would recommend Antler and would eat here again.

Best dinner I have had in a long time. Chilly night so started with the mushroom soup to warm up, which was velvety delicious. Then I had the venison (just calling it that doesn’t do it justice - the perfectly seasoned medium rare venison was so good I was ready to order it again instead of dessert. Beautifully presented with a potato purée, root veggies, and whatever else was in that plate was off the charts good. Thanks to bartender Derek who recommended it, and drinks, which were a decoy beer, and a Canadian cab/merlot blend. The cinnamon smoked old fashioned looked really good as well. Coolly dark atmosphere, really nice people, and it's not pretentious despite the quality of the food. Dessert - sticky toffee pudding with ice cream (a mushroom ice cream?) - everything was crazy delicious. Been to Toronto lots of times but this was the best meal I have ever had here, it was all Canadian, and it ranks very high in the best ever list. I would go visit Toronto again just to go have dinner here.

Cozy, great food, some of the servers are kinda quirky but that's fine. Would prefer if it was a little less expensive but they're still packed every night so would be unreasonable to lower them.

It was our first time. The experience was wonderful. Great food, excellent service and a relaxing environment. We'll definitely return. It's a great place for experiencing high quality and unique Canadian dishes. Best to book a reservation, as it's a very popoular place to eat, everyday of the week.

This restaurant is amazing and a must try. My wife and I had the cured meats and pate board, game burger, bison ribeye, smoked chocolate mousse and sticky toffee pudding. We devoured and enjoyed every bit of each plate. Thank you and can't wait to go again.

Great “hidden” gem . Not as crowded as hip places nearby. Service was excellent, omelette was super light and fluffy and also huge! Salad was delish. My friend’s “over medium” eggs were a bit overcooked but she loved the crispy toast and confit.

It’s literally the best steak I’ve had in my entire life. Period. Not just the best venison steak, I do mean the best steak. The service was excellent. There aren’t many places in Toronto that deliver such a good experience.

We were greeted at the door and sat at a wonderful table in the corner. All of the servers were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. The chef (Michael) was also amazing , he served us a beautiful menu of charcuterie, pasta , risotto, game meats and desserts. . This experience made a memorable birthday dinner for my daughter and I . Thanks to everyone involved!

With a last name like Hunter, it seems as though owner and chef Michael Hunter was destined to open Antler. The restaurant celebrates regional ingredients, which are present all throughout the seasonal menu, and they even make an appearance in the cocktails, which are made with Antler’s own natural infusions and syrups. With freshly foraged ingredients in hand, Hunter aims to define Canadian cuisine at Antler.

Jamaican venison patty: It may look like a snack food, but it's as important as any expert entree. Slipped into a white paper sleeve with the Antler logo stamped on the front (nice touch), it’s the best version of any meat patty I can recall. The house made dough is so fine it's almost translucent, making it easy to see the mound of ground meat within with as much flavour as a well-simmered stew. And the delicately spicy dipping sauce with scotch bonnet is not blow-your-head-off hot thanks to being blended mostly with red peppers. Make no mistake: this is not the meat patty you're used to seeing under a heat lamp at the corner convenience store.

One of the most recent openings, Antler has illustrated that game doesn’t have to be heavy or gamey or boring. This is your chance to dig into rabbit, deer, bison, boar and venison, all done with elegance and refinement. Swoon.
