My favorite restaurant in Toronto. Make sure to get a bunch of dishes and split them. Great for groups.

The temperature in the restaurant was too cold. There is also no sound buffering so it was loud and hard for us to converse with our friends. The food was superb and service was excellent.

The food and the service are spectacular! We ordered the mezes appetizer and it was perfect; from the hummus to the tabouli. It also paired really well with the sharing kabob plate. I recommend to ask for the garlic sauce and the garlic yogurt sauce as they added so much flavour. We also ordered the fish of the day (it was perch) it was seasoned perfectly, and the crust was the best! Also, our waiter, Antonis, was super helpful, very knowledgeable with the menu and so kind.

We had a delightful dinner at District Social with friends. The food was fantastic! We loved all the delicious dips, the warm pita baked on site, the meatballs and roasted veggies. The food is middle eastern eclectic and just yummy! The atmosphere is a hip vibe that is warm and friendly. The service was superb. All the food came quickly and the waiter was so courteous and friendly.

Very slow to take orders. Food was fanatastic , probably one of the best falafels I’ve ever had and I’m middle eastern. However what happened after 11pm was beyond shocking. Turns into a club with 16 year old kids and raunchy young girls dancing on tables. Try the food leave before 11.

Ordered multiple items (appetizers, small plates, entrees, pizza) to share for our group of 4 people. Took a while for anything to come and then it all came at the same time (in fact the entree came before the appetizer!). We had to ask for them to stop and then had to ask again for them to bring the last item. Food quality was good but service really ruined the evening.

Amazing food - loved the crispy cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and fig/onion flatbread. Everything was excellent. A bit noisy but loved the open doors on a nice summer night. Would highly recommend!

I had organized a group dinner for 20 people and have been to District Oven a few times previously. The food was impressive as always. I was disappointed by the service. They were aware that we had a sizeable group yet appeared to be disorganized. We received dishes we had not ordered while some people were left waiting for their food. The staff did their best to make up for it but I was surprised as they have had large groups before.

Toronto restaurants open on Boxing Day

Here is a Portugal Village newcomer - equal parts chic and cozy - that seeks to join the legion Mediterranean/Middle Eastern players to which Toronto currently plays host by injecting a little imagination into convention. That means innovations like house-pressed labaneh with zatar, and arak and sour cherry gastric-smothered poutine. Flatbreads, possibly topped with figs and halloumi cheese, emerge from the stone oven centerpiece like miracles. There’s lots for vegetarians here, and folks who like their meat Halal will find that offering across the board. The 4,000 sq.-ft. space is vast, communally oriented and handsome, including a 36-foot long walnut bar.
