My friends and I went to Factory Girl last night for our monthly get together and we were so impressed with everything! Normally I don't write online reviews-- but I had to share how wonderful the service, food and experience was!
We had this adorable waitress who suggested we try any of the pizzas or pastas. We shared a bruschetta pizza appetizer, which was devoured instantly. I had the Ravioli and a glass of Pinot Noir as my main and have been dreaming of it all day. Could not recommend it enough!
I had the porto chicken, one of my friends had pizza, the other pasta. We were all really happy. The garlic linguine I ordered on the side was really good and garlicky. Pretty good service - can't wait to go back. The menu is nice and varied so you don't need to be in the mood for pasta or pizza. Great place.
What a great experience! Our meals were delicious and well presented. The calamari and bruschetta pizza were great starter choices. My daughter and I chose pasta dishes, and my husband had the tilapia. We shared a chocolate mousse for desert. Again, delicious!!!!!! I have to say that I was impressed by the vintage decor. Simple yet well stated. As we are in walking distance to Factory Girl, we will be walking there on a regular basis.
Went to Factory Girl with my wife for the first time this past Friday night. We only went for a drink with plans to go somewhere else for dinner. The name threw me off a bit and I didn't want to take a chance eating at a place I figured was a bar and not a restaurant. When we got there we sat at the bar and were greeted very warmly by the bartender. We noticed other peoples plates around the bar and the food looked good. The bartender made it clear that that she loved the food at her new job and that the calamari was the best in Toronto. Long story short we ate and the food was excellent. The restaurant has a very warm feel to it. I will return with friends.
Food was tasty and served fast. A relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it

Fast and great service. The food was great. Nice atmosphere. It didn’t seem to bother anyone that we showed up with 3 kids (we had just played at Zed 80s next door with the family for a few hours, but it’s hard to get a table there to sit and eat, so we walked into Factory Girl next door to try). Everyone was happy. We would definitely come back again.

It was exceptionally nice/ kind of staff to hold our table (on a Friday evening) as we were delayed in traffic on the 401 stuck behind a car accident. The Macaroni and Cheese dish had changed since our last visit, different noodle, different sausage, so different and not quite the same as in years past, but still very good. The pizza (Francesca and Salvatore) were absolutely delectable.

The staff at Factory Girl are always professional and friendly and provide good customer service. My favourite menu items are the crab cakes and the fish tacos. They have a variety of beer on tap and a couple of local ciders.

Our event was a Celebration of Life for a wonderful friend who'd passed away suddenly and recently. George, the owner, was extremely easy to deal with and provided a perfect venue for our memory party. He adjusted the menu to accommodate our meager budget and couldn't have been easier to deal with. The two servers he provided were excellent. They were friendly and went out of their way to make everyone welcome. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful gastropub and its people. I can't wait to hold future events here and as an individual will frequent the place above all others on the Danforth!!!

This back patio just east of the Danforth despite not being near water, has the feel of being on the lake.
Drenched in sunshine, you can catch some rays while digging into their fantastic Roma style pizza. Go with the Margherita if you want classic.
Of course, there is much more to the menu. Fresh pastas and salads are fantastic too. And a hearty wine and drinks list means you’ll want to extend your stay just a little longer.
Ontario craft beer tastes fine enough on its own but when you pair it with a tray of prime rib sliders, it goes down even better. And, instead of adding regular fries on the side, opt for sweet potato for extra deliciousness. If you’re really famished, try the six oz burger topped with cheddar and bacon and a side of red wine gravy poutine. Move your food to the patio for a great dining experience.
