I love this restaurant! I have been there twice in the last month, and they also have really tasty and cheap pick-up. Both times we visited, the servers were super-friendly and service was attentive and efficient. I have only ever had the Japanese food (they also serve Korean food). The tempura and sushi are delicious! It's also a nice touch that they serve complimentary edamame (soybeans) at the start. Everything on the menu is pretty reasonably priced; for example, maki platinum is $13.95, sashimi gold is $13.95, and chirashi is $10.95. The only thing you need to watch is the price of beer. I think it was about $9 for the large size! In terms of decor, the restaurant is clean yet doesn't feel sterile. Washrooms are clean. Overall, Ho Su has great food and service. I highly recommend it!

I used to work near the Yonge and Eglinton...

I used to work near the Yonge and Eglinton location so I ate there all the time. For approx. $5 you get a pretty good tasting more than genrous lunch. Comes with rice, chicken terriyaki drowned in terriyaki sauce, shrimp and veggie tempura, coleslaw and clear rice noodles. On the contrary, the Ho Su on Queen St downtown is horrible! I ordered the same chicken terriyaki and shrimp tempura special thinking they're the same franchise so food must taste the same...but no. The chicken tasted so freakin weird and horrible like raw or old or spoiled I dunno, but it did not even taste like chicken at all.
