Are you crazy, this restaurant has been closed for months, and you still let people to make reservations? Shame on you!!!!

Great place. A simple menu executed well. Lovely service. Perfect before a gig at the Mod Club

We had a lovely evening dining out on the patio. The waiting staff was very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this romantic, restaurant. The food was definitely 5 stars. Never had Caesar salad so deliciously seasoned. The roasted vegetables were abundant and out of this world and the fish also was great. We topped it off with the best cappuccino and tiramisu. Our plates were embarrassingly clean when taken away from our table.

It was Ella’s second day working there and she was not only attentive and friendly but unflsppable

This was out first time there. Delicious calamari and arancini. Pizza was delicious, especially the crust, crispy yet tender and flavourful. We will definitely go back.

Sorry to have to say it, but the food is not good, service was pleasant but slow and inattentive. Unfortunate. I read reviews in the hopes of knowing where to go, so I wanted to write this one so that other people can avoid the same mistake. Lots of good restaurants in Toronto, so no need to pay for anything less.

First server seemed very friendly, but they switched multiple time throughout the night making it hard to get anyone’s attention and they didn’t come to check how our meals were after being served. Servers seemed annoyed when we asked to order dessert.

The food was mediocre and arrived cold. The waitress was pleasant at the beginning of the meal but was suddenly very rude at the end, to the point my husband was asking me if he thinks we had upset her somehow. Overall, not a great experience.

Overall very good laid back and pleasant atmosphere. The food was mostly good, a couple of the appetizers were OK but most of it was pretty tasty. Wine is decently prized. Overall I would give it a 4.5 rating.

I was called about 2 hours after I made my reservation, which was same day and told the restaurant wouldn’t be open that day for service. I’m not quite sure why they would accept reservations if they weren’t going to be open.

Pizza was fantastic. Server recommended specials did not disappoint. We will be back.

Amazing home style italian food. FOcaccia, even though not in the menu, is a must. Subtle yet tasty, it melts in your mouth without loosing the crispiness of the crust. Good food, perfect serving size.

I found it was overpriced and the service wasn’t the best.

Very nice place, the service was good, we had a few starters (Parmigiana and Arancini) and a pizza. We have concluded our dinner with a Delicious tiramisù.

A fantastic restaurant with a real authentic and family feel. Has become our go to for family dinners out. Service and food are top notch. Can't recommend highly enough.

This is a restaurant of which we are regulars. We have always been very happy with atmosphere, hospitable welcome, and service. The food is consistently great, in particular the pizza. The patio in the summer is laid back and enjoyable. Inside dining room is very nice all year round. Looking forward to dining at Il gatto nero again soon.

Our waitress who wore a bandana around her neck was FABULOUS!!!! The chef made me an amazing plate of grilled veggies that were amazing. Thank you.
