My family and I have been coming here for many years now. I don't know what the other 2 reviewers were talking about- the service is always great and the food is amazing. The ambience is wonderful and it is a great place for a date or a family outing. I highly suggest it!

Worst dining experience of my life. Rude waiter...

Worst dining experience of my life. Rude waiter, our dinners were served at different time, so that my husband and I had our dinners but the kids didn't have their's, my kids ordered hamburgers, which came served on pita buns, because they had run out of hamburger buns, didn't tell us until after the dinners had been served, my husband's dinner was stone cold, and he was served first, my dinner was awful, I couldn't eat half of the mussels because they tasted off, we complained about the service and the food but the waiter couldn't care less. We will never come back to this horrible restaurant.

We like to go to "The Danforth". It has a pulse that we lack in suburbia. Brampton(40km away) 3rd time visitor. Brought 2 1st timers. The food was fine. Big portions, decent value. Dips are a bit pricey for what you get. $6 for a saucer of Tzatziki no pita. Homemade bread in the breadbasket was good, soft, almost like a foccacia. This place is noisy but in a good way. Calls of "OPA" mean to get you in the mood for fun. Very rustic traditional greek fare. My last two visits were in the summer months and I remember it much busier and the food and service better (8-9). From ordering appetizer to finishing dessert it took maybe 40 minutes. Superfast. Too fast for me. The Spanakotiropita explained feta cheese with leeks wrapped in phyllo was basically spinach in pastry that was over done(bottom was black.) I looked at my friends Lamb Souvlakiwhich he ordered medium) was blood red in the centre and he left half of it. Pizza was fine. I've had better and worse. Calamari had to be frozen they had that processed look to them. Homemade just look (and taste) different. I didn't believe this to be what we were suppose to get but the server we had didn't lend to questioning her. She may have been the matriarch of the group but doesn't know much about restaurant service. Personally, it takes more than taking orders and bringing plates (a monkey could do that), she barely spoke two words... "...you greek?"... "...no sorry, italian". She almost smiled while asking (I do look greek yes. No Interac.(debit) This was probably our last visit here. We're definatly not going to make the trip just for this place again. There are too many other restaurants of the same nature within 2 blocks in either direction...well try those first.

Go Greek with these moussaka dishes in Toronto

Go Greek with these moussaka dishes in Toronto

There’s no shortage of Greek cuisine on the Danforth, but this contemporary multi-leveled restaurant sets itself apart with an enchanting garden patio. The sprawling open air space comes alive in the summer months with colourful flower baskets and local residents enjoying an al fresco meal and a glass of wine. You won’t find too many surprises on the crowd-pleasing menu, which focuses on Greek specialties and comfort foods. The moussaka — a ground beef casserole layered with eggplant and zucchini and baked under a rich béchamel sauce — arrives accompanied by a Greek salad and savoury rice.
