It was unbearably noisy. We could not eat there again even though we liked the food.

The food is innovative and interesting, but portion sizes are small, and way too expensive for what is put on a plate. We had a table of 5 people, which by most brunch-restaurant-in-Toronto standards isnt a massive size, but were waiting for literally everthing, beyond what is reasonable, I think. Service was slow too an unacceptable degree. The server asked us 3 times over the course of 15 minutes what our order was because he didnt write it down. Despite that, he still forgot drinks and water.

Second visit and can't wait to go back again! The service was wonderful and the food....so tasty!!!

Love the place! Excellent food , unique flavours and vibrant ambience. I would definitely come back for the shrimp pasta WOW!!!!

Amazing food and value! It’s an intimate space, and it gets a tiny bit on the loud side when it’s peak service. Just means it’s a worthwhile place to go with good company 😊

Patois has a nice atmosphere, the energy for a Tuesday great. I guess I really wanted Jamaican food, a bit of spice, I didn't get that. Alot of food but I left feeling bland.

Absolutely love the service! Absolutely love the food! My sister and I were literally rolling her eyes out of disbelief of how good the food was! Definitely, would return over and over again.

We were seated next to the kitchen door so this took away something from the ambiance but Jameel's service and the food quality and taste more than made up for this. The overall atmosphère was nice and the restaurant was packed - for good reason. Highly Recommended!!! Try the Jerk chicken, it's delicious and tender.

The jerk chicken and the jerk potatoes with cheese sauce wasn't as spicy as when I had it the first time in 2019. Could have been a touch more. The potatoes were a tiny bit under. The cocktail was a little light. The waitress said there is 2 oz of alcohol in each cocktail but it felt like none and it was too small and full of ice. Service is amazing, management was very helpful..I still strongly recommend this place 100%!

First time eating at Patois. Service was efficient and friendly. We had crispy fried chicken and crispy cauliflower as appetizers - despite being fried food was surprisingly not oily. Both very tasty. For main we took jerk chicken chow mein, popcorn fries rice, ramen and shrimps (watch out - Dish is creamy but very hot!) and the short ribs. They had a peach apricot ice tee which was homemade and very nice. All in all good value for the money and very good food and staff.

Amazing food and service!

1 Doubles order consists of 2 bara, chickpeas, pepper sauce, cucumber chutney/tamarind sauce. You all added some fried Okra and listed it for $16. 1 doubles for $16. Outrageous but WAY better tasting than what I was told the signatdish was... The Ramen with Pork Belly.... everything was brown. Pause. Salty to core. Salt and ginger on overcooked noodles. It was awful.

Our waitress was the sweetest person. And our food was sooo delicious. The restaurant was busy but we never felt like we were forgotten and we were well taken care of. I have food allergies and she really made sure I was safe which was awesome. We recommend you try it out! We will definitely be coming back.
