Asked for a place to sit to wait for a table as I am handicap. The manager said-- oh I am sorry you have a sore knee. I was smashed between 2 cars and can walk. Real asshole of a manager, rude, stupid, condescending. The restaurant might be busy this night but with jerks like this running your restaurant it will not always be that way. Avoid this restaurant. The I said I don't think I will stay, manager say, I think that is a good idea..
Stacks is one of my favourite restaurant on Yonge Uptown! The food is tasty, the service is warm and the meal portions are substantial. Great place for everyone.

I booked dinner on line with bookenda and drove to this restaurant in Toronto from Bowmanville only to find out that the restaurant was not even opened. This after I was sent a message from bookenda to confirm the reservation. We were truly disappointed with this service that should know better. We love the Stack restaurant which made this all the more disappointing.

Stack is wonderful!
From the fantastic food to the exceptionally friendly staff, it's always a pleasure to be there! Being a vegetarian you wouldn't think it would be the best place to eat for me, however their veggie options are the amazing for any restaurant, let alone a BBQ-centric one.
They also have one of the best milkshakes in town, and always have at least one new secret creation that changes on a whim so be sure to ask what the Shaketender Surprise is!

I have visited twice. The first time everything was excellent. The second time the service was slower and our order went astray resulting in our buffalo sauce fries becoming soggy and our entrees being slow to arrive. They did replace fries at n/c. I honestly believe that they expected a slower night and got slammed. The staff tried their best. No question, I will go back again. When they are this good we have to support our local eateries or one sad day they will not be there..

Everything was wonderful. We felt welcome and were well taken care of. The food was delicious and every single person enjoyed their meal. Our waiter Matt was fabulous and split our bills how we wanted with ease. Jody the manager was fantastic. And complimentary bday donuts with sparkler were given to the bday girl. Everyone left happy and well fed.
This midtown restaurant takes its inspiration from our neighbours to the south, and this is especially evident in their pulled pork sandwiches. There is a total of three pulled pork sandwiches on the menu, and they make sure to have the main barbecue regions covered. Whether it’s smothered in Carolina barbecue sauce or Lexington vinegar sauce, whichever sandwich you choose, it’s a winner.
Stack’s BBQ is phenomenal, so it’s hard not to fill up on their Smoked Baby Back Ribs ($20/Stack Size $30), Texas Brisket ($12) and BBQ Pulled Pork ($12).
But you’ve gotta save room for their epic dessert. Stack Donuts ($8) are mini doughnuts just like at The Ex, stacked in a tower, and then covered in your choice of toppings.
