Excellent service. How you should be serving. Back to old school European basics. Food was very good. Fish was fresh. Tasty seasoned perfectly. If you want some authentic Portuguese food. This is highly recommended.

Wonderful food Wonderful staff

I ordered medium rare steaks. The outside is not charred enough and the inside is too well done. For a rib eye, it was not enough marbling on the steak.

We were given excellent seats by the window, but it was a cold day and we were chilly. We would have been comfortable if we had worn sweaters. The food was excellent. Sardines as appetizer, duck leg and lamb shank as mains, and molatof meringue for dessert. Yummy.

Went during Winterlicious on a Friday evening. The moment you entered you are treated like family. The food and food choices were incredible. Had soup, steak with egg and pineapple with port. I was stuffed. The wine and wine choices are amazing, you can't go wrong with Portuguese wines. Will be back.

As always, Via Norte never disappoints. Our visitors from Atlanta, Georgia have thoroughly enjoyed their meals and loved the music and ambience of the restaurant. Our server, Daniel, was simply wonderful. He’s very helpful and took very good care of us. We look forward to our next visit there.

We made a last minute summerlicious booking for this lovely restaurant and could not have been more pleased. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. It’s a good distance from our hone easy of the gta but we’ll definitely be back. Quality seafood and great wine!

Absolutely lovely time last night. It is a hidden gem and quite deceiving from the outside. Very elegant but inviting inside. It was summerlicious but the portions were regular size - not small at all. We had sardine, soup, chorizo (overcooked) as appetizers - overall very good. Calamari, duck, and steak for mains - done very well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back when it is not Summerlicious. Thanks Via Norte!

Overall the food was excellent, though I found that the accompanying vegetable for the squid dinner was lacklustre and held little appeal

We came for Summerlicious and had a great evening. I would not order the Molotov dessert again, but otherwise everything was just fine. Will definitely come again!

Home made goat cheese, makes the Baltic salad, herb crusted salmon was divine and the squid was as you would expect from a fine Portuguese restaurant, excellent!

A late lunch at 2pm on a Monday, one would expect the service and food to be well taken care of. The ambiance was excellent. Prices were good ($65 pp). Piri piri chicken excellently infused skin, steak was done medium rare, risotto soft, washrooms modern, white tablecloth, too bad they were out of salt cod.

Food quality consistently good for the numerous visits we made there. The grilled sardines are my favorite appetizer. Excellent service from our server. She was very pleasant. I never hesitate to recommend this restaurant to friends. Katy

Service was fantastic. Only comment may be that it took to long to get our bill. Generally the food was extremely well done with a few slight misses but probably only because I am a Chef and restaurant consultant myself. Kitchen did a great job. We live out of town but would recommend this spot to anyone. Sincere hospitality at it’s best. Lose the white tablecloth and expand the app section slightly and you will have an upscale casual spot that is more accessible to the general public. Your folks passion is tremendous. Well done

Excellent meal, it was a modern twist to Portuguese food, great wine selection (all Portuguese) and great wait staff. Recommend highly and will go back
