My husband and I went to Lord Byrons for a rare kid free dinner. It was absolutely amazing! The cesear salad for two - which is made tableside and is impressive to watch - was absolutely the best caeear salad we have ever eaten! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. An amazing steakhouse experience! Our waiter went out of his way to make sure we had the best dining experience!
We visited for my fathers 73rd birthday. Was absolutely amazing. We did not use a cupon. The food quality was great and the service was great. Loved the table side service. This is now our favorite restaurant!

Worst experience ever. Shrimp had no flavour, prime rib was like cardboard and the lamb was over priced. I've done a lot of fine dining but never paid $60 for lamb!!! Servers looked like they didn't want to be there and the owner/manager kept complaining about how much his leg was hurting. They were obviously having a dinner for the staff or family because they were dressed like they were at a baseball game. The desert cart was pathetic, looked like left overs from the night before.
The staff were very kind but this was the poorest meal we have ever been served in terms of food quality, presentation and taste! Extremely disappointed!
My wife and I went back to Lord Byron on a Saturday a few weeks back and was quite impressed. The food was excellent and the wait staff attentive. However, we just returned a week ago on a Tuesday and were totally dissatisfied. The lettuce in my wife's salad was so brown it must have been sitting out since the weekend. And our rack of lamb appeared to have been cooked over a grill instead of roasted as we've normally seen. Our waiter was friendly but that really didn't offset the poor food. At this point I'm reluctant to even go back on a weekend. I prefer restaurants who take pride in their food all the time and not just when the prices are higher.
Haven't been to this restaurant in 20 years wanted a lovely restaurant for our Anniversary dinner. The restaurant we wanted was totally booked, so we decided to try Lord Bryons again. From beginning to the end of the evening we were both pleasantly surprised and pleased with the evening. The food and service was excellent. The sons would make the father very proud. Defiantly will go back another time Thank you Lord Byron for making our evening very special
From beginning of dinner to the end, the service was exceptional. I highly recommend the Merlot, smooth body and went well with our meal. I love when Ceasar salad is prepared table side, it was creamy and delicious. The Chateaubriand, served table side, was very tender and cooked to perfection, accompanied with sauteed mushrooms were exceptional. The vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus were cooked perfectly, not overcooked or undercooked like other restaurants. There was really no need for the potatoes as there was so much food. For anyone looking for a nice evening out I recommend Lord Byron. A must try at least once. We have tried many fine dining restaurants and this one is high on our list. We will definitely be going back. It was a relaxed, cozy atmosphere.
If you live anywhere in the Golden horseshoe, and have not visited here, you are missing out. Chateaubriand so tender, could have cut with a butter knife. Have had beef from east coast to vegas, and this was the best. Price is good value for the quality especially since included with the main meal was bread, olives, pickles,cheese, and soup of the day. Best onion rings ever, vegetables delicious. As soon as we sat down, they brought out the breads & accompanyments. Can't say anything bad about any of the food served. Billy our waiter, was great guy & enjoyed meeting him too. Will definitely return.
Lets just put it this way. Dont always trust the big names like The Keg, or Ruth Chris etc... this place is amazing. By far the best steak I've probably have had yet, and I love my steaks. I usually get them done medium. It was done perfect! And it had absolutely no FAT! My girlfriend had the same thing as me and she loved hers also. I highly recommend going here people, you wont be disappointed. It took a bit for the food to come out, probably 50 minutes. But that could of been due to the high volume of people that night. But trust me, it was well worth the wait when the food came out =) Hope you all go!
Just had dinner here.Very poor quality beef .Steak arrived rare....ordered med rare ....waiter acted as if my fault.The price is OK...but not good quality beef.I would not recommend this steak house if you like a good steak....Cheap beef and mega msg on the steak ...also lumpy mashed potatoes over seasoned ....overall a very bad experience

Sammy is an amazing waiter.. funny an charming as my wife said.. loved the flair with which he made our specialty coffeys.. caesar salads were more than what we could expect Shrimp Byron XOXOXOXOXO .................. and the steaks were as good as we have ever had.. we will definitly be back and recomend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a great meal at a very reasonable price. .. puts other places to shame..
Great food, quality service. Have had occasion to hear an extraordinary guitarist play there twice now - last time was in September - created a wonderful atmosphere with a wide array of music that was nothing but delightful great musician of a calibre not often heard these days.
We had a booth and didn't have to wait long for any course. Each portion was a good size and freshly prepared. Almost every table was full and enjoying conversation and yet there was no noise - none from a kitchen, serving dishes, next tables, etc. The cheque arrived when we asked so we weren't rushed. The only complaint might be the extra large GMC 'trucks' in the parking lot straddling two spaces - but that's not the restaurant.
The best place for to enjoy a relaxing evening with fine food, great service and beautiful ambiance. The price for what you get exceeds anything I have experienced. I would highly recommend.
This place is great finnally a romantic decour with a great fireplace, the wood is amazing. The service was perfect real waiters not some kid who cares more about what he is doing later that night then providing great sevice. I found the waiter was freindly and found that the Lord Byron has been around for 30 years under the same ownership that is staying power. The food ceaser salad made from scratch at the table and the best steaks in the area. we will be back
My husband (34 and I'm 28) had reservations there for valentine's day, this was our first visit, we found the service to be slightly pretentious and it was slow on that particular night. Our menus didn't arrive until about 20 - 25 minutes after we sat down, we didn't care as we were in no rush, but there seemed to only be one waiter there, an elderly gentleman. The restaurant could use a bit of renovating, it had a very old feel to it, perhaps it's the ambiance they were trying to achieve, our dinners came with the soup of the day, which was supposed to be beef and vegetables, there was neither beef or vegetables in the soup, it was more of a broth, that was disappointing. The steaks were excellent, but the vegetables that came with the entrees (only carrots) weren't cooked enough, I like them crispy, but they almost tasted like they were raw. The steak itself was delicious and cooked to order. I didn't care for the cheesecake, it wasn't good at all. We might go again, but there are too many new restaurants out there to try, this one wasn't necessarily a favorite per se.
Stuck in the Seventies, everything I had, was Flambeed at the table. overpriced and pretentious.
New Years Eve 2007. This was excellent. The set menu was great! The cheese/olive/pickle plate with the garlic bread when we sat down was a very nice welcome. Service was excellent. Just can't say enough about this place. One of my favorites, you won't be disappointed.
This was a fabulous choice for a romantic dinner for two. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The plate of olives, pickles, and feta cheese with warm garlic bread placed on the table moments after was sat down was perfect. The garlic mashed potatoes were increidble (loaded with roasted garlic cloves) and a pound of Alaskan King Crab didn't leave room for dessert.

I dont know happened to this restaurant. Used to be our favorite surpassing the Keg. NOT NOW! The new owner must just hire people based on if they have 2 feet and a heart beat. Alex our server was negligent...handed us a drink menu then went MIA until Peter the owner noticed and sent him over to take our drink order. While my husband was satisfied with his over cooked steak mine was less than acceptable. I ordered the surf and turf which comes with a 6oz. Fillet mignon, lobster tail vegies and potato. I ordered my steak med rare I got shoe leather which was sliced in 2 spots where whoever cooked it was checking the doneness of the steak Even though we both ordered steak neither one of us recd a steak knife, we weren't offered any kind of steak sauce ie. HP ...I did not receive my butter for my lobster with a warmer stand the butter was just sitting on the plate in a stainless bowl. For sides all we recd was 2 slices of carrots, 1 cauliflower florette and a scoop of mashed. No thought in the presentation . My soup which came with the dinner was extremely salty...I ordered escargot which would have nice if it wasnt swimming in alcohol . Also, normally when you order escargot they're served in mushroom caps...not here they just leave them all by themselves floating around in booze. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. It's not the place it used to be. I wouldn't go back even if it was free.

We can honestly say we have never been disappointed with the Lord Byron. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate, service excellent with great wait staff. We miss our previous waiter, Sam but happy he has retired and hopefully doing well. Peter and his staff make the dining experience truly enjoyable and on occasion quite entertaining. The food has never let us down, tasty, tender, great flavour and seasoning. We have recommended this establishment to many others who have joined us in the past or attended on their own following our recommendation. Best restaurant in the area.

We had the caesar salad made at the table which was pretty good but I thought limp. The steak ..one was a junior filet was good . The other a strip loin was not the medium I ordered but well done. Bothe tender but when you are paying $50 for a steak it should be excellent. There was only one other couple in the restaurant so it is not like they were run off their feet.

Reservation was made a week ahead for lunch August 11th. Arrived right at noon and restaurant was locked with no sign of anyone around. Knocked loudly on the door and no response. Left our car in their lot and walked to another restaurant. Upon returning the door of Lord Byron was open so checked and staff said there was some confusion with our reservation. NOT IMPRESSED...!
